Can we talk about how DJ Mustard produced 3 of the 10 best songs of 2013 so far?

(R.I.P by Jeezy & 2 Chainz; Paranoid by TY$ & Joe Mo$e$; My N*ggas by YG, Jeezy & Rich Homie Quan)

Freddie Gibbs appears on good song and doesn't ruin it with earnestness shockah! :

Giftz w/ Freddie Gibbs - Money Makin' Mitch

Also really like Flexin' N Finessin' from the new Giftz project in a very similar vibe.

You could throw a couple more Mustard songs into that top 10 and I wouldn't blink. He snatched rap radio from Mike Will Made It really quick.

This is significantly dope. Who else makes rap like this nowadays? BeatKing, maybe?
How awesome is Gangsta Stripper Music btw?
As has been documented, I'm a sucker for strip club anthems in general, gangster or not. Strip Club from Boston George and Boo Rossini, Bravo from Boss Yo Life Up Gang, & Hello Love from T-Rone included.

To be honest the Doe Boy record reminds me of crunk shit. Riot inducing club rap doesn't exist anymore. I think Future has that ability (Same Damn Time, Shit) but that retail thing he dropped sounded like a Nicki fucking Minaj album so I have little hope.

First Trel thing I've liked since Dope Case with P & Alley Boy from the Louis V Mob mixtape.
Eh. You heard the 'tape, though? I think it's possible I hate the whole thing. I don't really understand Fat Trel.

YG & Young Jeezy - Fuck You

The Intro on this project is something noteworthy. I don't recall the last time I heard a Robbery/ Caper/ Street Beef joint with 3 or 4 rappers all maintaining the same narrative. That's straight throwback shit. Well done, gents.

My dude, I didn't even know what you meant. I had no clue BeatKing had something new out.

Rocking with this and the "Boss Yo Life Up Gang" mixtape for the next week.

I like that IONCAHH joint by Beatking ("I been gettin' paid since Paul Wall had braids!") but that's the only song I've heard by him.

Rey, I concur on the CTE intro being great and Fat Trel's mixtape being shit.

Drizzle - can you delete Mindbender's posts from this thread, plz? Nobody cares what a Canadian Joell Ortiz fanboy who makes 10th rate Company Flow b sides thinks about 2013 rap.

I linked to this earlier in the thread but it deserves an embed since it's one of the hardest cuts outta Chicago :

Blood Money w/ King Louie - Bitch I'm Crazy

I thought the weird distortion noises on it were kinda annoying at first listening to it via my laptop's speakers, then I listened to it in a car and it literally blew my mind.

Via a laptop Bitch I'm Crazy sounds like Dubstep wub wubs, in a car/a decent home stereo it sounds like you're listening to it through Predator's helmet ( :pause: ).

Should also be noted that the rapping is equally cold (especially Blood Money's verse) and it sounds best jammed next to Louie's Michael Jordan.

King Louie - Michael Jordan
