You are a fucking moron

PEACE
And you are a guy I don't fucking care to impress with my logic, but I still read your posts.

Jay-Z is gonna become the Bob Dylan of hip hop if he doesn't start putting in some effort into his records soon.

if Jay-Z isn't interested in making MORE classics, then he should REALLY RETIRE. Don't you agree?

This is exactly some Michael Jordan on the Washington Wizards shit. If you're not gonna give it your all, then why continue?

Especially if you are ABSOLUTELY like a Top 5 MC of all time? And clearly can be labeled as maybe the best rapper ever by millions of people?

Jay-Z needs to stop fucking up the legacy of 'Reasonable Doubt'. Making me wish he fucking quit after that record again...

:bunk:

and I am a music journalist and cultural commentator, as well as other things. I need to know the state of modern music culture to do my job well. You, on the other hand, seem to feel extremely smug and superior to those musicians you criticize. Well, congradufuckinlations, you're more awesome than Drake and Miley Cyrus if you think you are. So what? You still hate yourself

Stop getting ideas above your station. You're no more a cultural commentator than anyone else who posts on a message board or social media. As for 'journalist' do you even still do that shit (and get paid)?

Anyway, my original point was that if people stopped paying attention to Jay's shitty records he'd either retire properly or step his game up.
As it is he has no need to do either because people lose their shit whatever he does anyway.

Either way he's better than Drake by a considerable distance.

I actually liked a few of the first songs on the record and then it falls off hard. Shit is so mundane and boring after that.

this later era bob dylan is still moving hard\in the boulevard in a way nearly equatable with his heyday, perhaps you mean something more along the lines of john fogerty who's been shitting the bed for a long while now and doesn't mind falling asleep right after

yeah, I think this sometimes... and then remember Drake's quote where he said: "I love to rap, but in the back of my mind, I will also always want to be like a Marvin Gaye for this generation..."

and I can't be mad at that shit, yo.

Well sure you can.

For instance, lets say if Floyd Mayweather Jr, one of the greatest boxers of our time, decided that he no longer wanted to be a full-time boxer, but wanted to be a marathon runner as well. Because well, "Jogging is something I like to do, I've always done it, and I will continue to do it." I would smack that fagget with my car on the way to work.

For those who have been given gifts, wasting those gifts is unacceptable.

or something.

this is Wicked levels of retarded. If dudes wants to sing, let him sing. He's being doing it for as long as he's been rapping and it's turned out pretty good for him.

by the by, "Hold on We're Going Home" is a song of the year contender, and there is zero rapping on it.

to be honest, I don't mind. I don't play the R&B stuff too tuff, but if it makes him happy, I'm cool with it. Same with Eminem making beats. I just don't think Eminem loved making beats as much as Drake loves singing, Marshall just wanted to get his Dr. Dre on for a few years. Like I said, whatevs. The Mayweather metaphor is apt, but they aren't doing this shit for us, they are doing it for them first, as it should be. Us enjoying their various work is a bonus. We don't have to like anything. I don't jam to too much of Drizzy's singing but I LOVE the song 'The Motion'.

Drake is 26, Jay-Z is 44. Drizzy has time to lace lots and lots of more hardbody raps. And he's a new generation of artist. He's post-Kanye, so this hybrid stuff is not as blasphemous as the "Biggie-Jay-Z-or-Nas?" legend lovers are proclaiming.

I can't wait to hear the records he's been holding back. I have a feeling there's gonna be some fucking HEEEEAT on there.

Drake is kind of genius by making people always want him to rap more. And just when people almost give up on him... he drops a fucking NUKE verse :copy:

if rap wasn't so wack and out of control, he would have to spit more :omar:

Exactly like Drake's album - only better. And less gay.

This is the type of music Drake wishes he was talented enough to make.

Should change his name to 'Coppin Pleas' wrote:Naw, I never referenced Drake. I never referenced anybody in particular on that track. Never. That’s not what happened. People have turned it into the “Drake Diss.” People have taken apart the verses and started to put the lines with rappers they think are targets or whatever, and that wasn’t the case. Like, that’s not what this is at all. So I just sit back and I watch it. But it ain’t nothing to me, man.”
