Deep and Terrorist were on the EP that dropped in 2012 (?). Ive had both in regular rotation since then. Terrorist is way too short though.

Gibbs is growing on me and he's great on this album but i need the instrumentals. Beats are crazy

saw madlib do a DJ set friday night. wasn't sure what to expect and was kinda on the fence about going. very glad i did. best show i've seen in a long ass time. if you're into the mixes he did for the medicine show series and you have a chance to see him DJ, do it. he played 2 DOOM songs i'd never heard, both were :ohsh:

Finally picked this up at the local spot. Great, great, album. Didn't really sink in until the second listen but goddamn, Madlib & Gibbs knocked this out of the park. Love the Danny Brown feature too.

Solid outing.

Nice interview with Gibbs:

What was your mind state when making Pinata?
You know what? For the majority of that record you can see the growth in me in the lyrics. I was trying to be different to everyone else out there. That's where my head was at. I'm not someone who's just gonna put out a project every six months -- that's what's wrong with the rap game. Everybody is so fuckin' fast food and you got to put out a project every six months -- fuck that. That's why the game's so fucked up; that's why everybody has ADD and don't give a fuck about whose album came out six months ago. I forgot a bunch of niggas' albums that came out last week, you know? That shit's like whatever, like a one-day commercial then that shit's over. No one gives a fuck.

Exactly how I feel. ^^^

yeah i agree with everything he said there.

and i don't think that's a common opinion either. well obviously it isn't, because everyone wants everything TODAY. and then they go through it in a matter of hours and that's it, then they're on to the next big thing, which they want the next day....

people don't know how to just let things marinate.

So weird he'd say that, because for a while it seemed like that's exactly what he was doing.

? I'm pretty sure gibbs has consistently put out 1 mixtape/album thing per year. there were a lot of loosies and features but he's never been the type to flood with full lengths

Great album. Think this will definitely have some shelf life and be up there in the end of year lists.

Was thinking the same. He usually has put some time in between to put out projects I thought. He doesn't wait too long though.

Underwhelming. Beats aren't that great. I like Thuggin' and Real, that's about it.

‘They tried to kill Tupac. They tried to kill me'
Gibbs’ crew had barely rolled one block away when the gunman — dressed in a dark hoodie — ran up to their ride and fired several shots inside, the rapper said.

“They tried to kill Tupac. They tried to kill me,” Gibbs told The Post outside the club. “I’m still alive.”

Asked why he would be targeted, Gibbs said: “I’m Freddie Gibbs. They tried to kill me, but I’m still alive.”

Damn, for a dude as vehemently homophobic as Gibbs is, he has one of the gayest twitter avatars in the short history of rap twitter
