RE: Generic list post: july 2014
"I do this for Miss Gladys, boy.... 100!"

A-Wax - Maury Dance (2014)
^ This album definitely is the Thug Deluxe sequel. I wasn't really expecting that but I can dig it.

Mouse On Tha Track - Be Alright (2014)
^ Ray J Rant reference @ 2min 33sec! I've been meaning to make a thread wherein we call shit classic. While it holds little replay value (I actually find it hard to listen to) the Ray J Rant, years later, has managed to be referenced by Marshall Mathers down to Louisiana's Mouse on Tha Track (not to mention undying appreciation on Black tumblr). I hereby name it a classic moment in modern hip hop history.

Lil' Debbie - Work The Middle (2014)
^ Try as I might, I can't fuck with this. The only one of them that could actually rap was V-Nasty, and even with that said, if we're going to be subjected to a prolonged career from any of them I would've preferred it be Kreayshawn with a quality ghost-writer behind her (the one that did Gucci, Gucci, please)

King Louie - Live And Die In Chicago (2014)
^ Outstanding. I would've never heard this if it wasn't for this list. I didn't give that last Louie tape any respect. Great find, sir.

Mozzy ft. June & Bacastunna - Don't Yank (2013)
^ Could be considered the sequel to, "YANK 4 ME". Or perhaps would that be, "Next Body On You"? Either way, I hold this character in the highest regards of anyone in the rap game right now.

Joe Moses ft. Ty Dolla $ign & Tyga - For A Real 1 (2014)
^ Has anyone heard this tape? He had an unexpectedly dope feature on Philthy Rich's, "Dey Know" earlier this year.

Street Knowledge - 40 Witta 30 (2014)
^ Knowledge has a shiney new EP out called Las Trillifornia that's straight quality except forr 1 vomitous HBK record

X2 except the Gucci Gucci ghostwriter is otherwise terrible, think that was both their moments in the sun

That Mozzys the nuts

Ye are gonna make me try Street Knowledge again, jesus even typing that name

Nah. I don't really rank A-Wax's albums but if it came to that, I actually think the less heralded, "Savage Timez (OG Version)" may be the one.

I meant more so the sound/ demeanor of of the two records. Someone from the Pie-Rx team stated that they kept this album all Wax because fans said that they hate when Wax does songs with other rappers.

I don't hate it but Wax is normally such a better writer (with more color & character) than his opposite that the songs sound lop-sided:

plus he has a weird voice.

All said, this character is probably one of my favorites to ever do it.

Collaboration between Astronautalis, Justin Vernon and S Carey - http://pitchfork.com/advance/509-de-oro/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It's...odd. Some of the production and songwriting seems inspired by Vernon's time with Kanye and some of it reminds me of Spark Master Tape's stuff.
