YES! sony put in some major work. they got this new shit called groove templates, u can use VST instruments with it, and they vastly improved the MIDI interface. I aint even gotta fuck with other programs to do my MIDI anymore. all i need is more VSTs and i can do all that shit in Acid now. and they improved on the sound engine.

dude is it just me or is 5.0 WAAAY slower? I can't use that shit, i just use 4.0 still. It's so annoying having to wait for all my samples to load and the program takes like 20 seconds to load, compared to 3 seconds for 4.0.
