Just got aroudn to checking this, it was really dope to me, and I think spoken aloud, in a slam type of situation it would rock right.

Yeah, you do have a point. I think ifthis poem was read right in a slam-type of situation by the poet it could rock! But the beat isn't quite as inherant when you just read the words on the page. I'm sure if the poet read it in the rhythm he intended it it could be real swell.

I was not mocking people when I said that, I was straight up insulting them. Some people have shown me I was wrong about my impressions of what they said, but you have not. The food theme Jen pointed out makes sense the more I ponder it. There was a food commonality we shared through the relationship, she and I both cooked for each other, and we used to have long talks at a diner we went to at the time right around the corner from the apt I lived at.
