Pen & Pad ALL-IN-ONE Competition: Sign-up! (ONE MORE!)
Hey ya'll,
Since things are getting a little stagnant on this part of the board, I think it's time for some head-to-head competition. My goal is 16 sign-ups, the deadline to sign-up for this contest is Friday, November 25th. There will be prizes. If you've got friends who'd be interested, tell them about it. The more people who sign up, the bigger the prize will be.
This is going to be kind of a renassiance approach to P&P this time. We've had poetry tournaments, we've had battles, this is going to incorporate both of them. The style of writing will depend on the round, but if you sign up, prepare to write freestyles, poetry, battles, themes, everything.

I gave up to the night time and swung headlights through thoroughfares - heavily cathartic, scintillating

In a real life scene, chop up the edges and intercut magic
death and disability - now I stand in between deism and a constellation of Gregorian sounds.
I like to lie down in my limitations drawn by numbers and statistics. I want to breathe in a film with things that get forgotten left out. and see to it that correlations are planted in a new fertile earth most cunningly pedicured by nocturnal hands, thievish, Robin Hoods. dukes and colonels, generals and sea captains live in crystal ballrooms and eat the finest fruits flown in from exotic jungle Eden and applaud musical Germanic folktales tracking the downfall of a hero whimpering through sentience. I remember my boat's belly dragging the pebbled bottom, that eternal regress of whoosh, a fabric to the ear, a pirate - wearing no malicious countenance.
I tapdance elegantly, remembering piano keys, of one color, the texture smooth and endearing, a spoonful of sustenance teeth need not touch.

see i've seen a sea of intersections and sometimes the tides can hide
what's on our minds or in the hearts that start to beat and race as we,
pace patiently in rushed times to find we end up where destiny dictates...
the face of fate is smiling with an impressible grin as i watch her bite her bottom lip
as i slip into into the covers to sip what's laying under fresh from her naked flesh,
undress our souls with touch and sensations that leave us aching for more...

if you take out the cogs and replace them with spokes

we've spent time learning how much time we've spent giving thanks

that willingness determines how far you'll go
and honesty is not only the best policy but it's honestly
opposite of the way it should be

a poem on a page, a hand on a tree
to reconcile the transitions of artistic vision
life isn't scripted, shit isn't television
so your reality to me is more than reality TV
when you cross the street and forget where you are
you just fill in the blanks to continue moving
because last week's regret can bring you improvement

when my friend Julie lost her life
car went crashing into a traffic post
to bend the metal into a broken flower petal
the driver survived her
because on the road of life there are no passengers
the rear-ended plastic and fiberglass class
holds no liability on a divided highway
that's a wrap for you
unless strapped with airbags, it's an aesthetic mess
they built hybrid technology
and neglected to tell people upon impact
a gas-electric conversion system
will turn your mode of transportation
into a smoldering conflagration in fact if struck on impact
