(early) Grouch/Slug are probably the only two rappers that I have related to on a personal level. I love hip hop production and look for it first on a lot of things, but those two have some great every-day-man-shit on their albums.

Slug I relate to more and more-- should I be scared?

Great post. I can somewhat relate with other rappers, but I liked Slug from the start. I can't remember when I first heard him rap, but it was in the mid to late 90's.

I really like all the Felt albums, especially the one dedicated to that girl that was in that movie. I have honestly never heard an entire Atmosphere album though, but this thread and Sean being cool on the internets has me thinking I should.

first atmosphere album i heard was lucy ford, that and god loves ugly got more rotation then the wheels on a city bus.

Few years later i fucked up and found myself living in the shithole town of sandstone MN which is right next to hinkley... primer pretty much nailed that town and i was never happier to come back to Tacoma. I dont know how the hell people inhabit northern MN and dont get carried away by insects or locked in the back of bubbas pontiac grand am.

Havent listened to the last few albums but honestly havent listened to much of any new shit.
