Re: Favorite track off Roc Marciano's Reloaded
I LOVE Roc's verse on "Not Told"...i keep rewinding that shit!
(quick copy and paste, can't be bothered typing)
"We live fast, got a lead foot
Push sevens out, metal brook
Ya mellon get whupped
Will find your skeleton in the hood
I sat and had a sip at the gentleman’s club
Intelligent writers, pockets got elephantitis
Come with choppers like helicopter pilots
I drive a five lopsided
Pop iron
Trying to make a hole for you like linemen
Designer trends is high end I’m disguised in
Cartiers is wide thin, keep my eyes hid
Take advice from wise men with ends
Rhymes is deep
You might want to dive in and swim
You feel the pain in the music
My ways are polluted
Big chain hang stupid"

That vocal sample and off kilter old piano sample are ridiculous...really cinematic too, can someone please send me the bonus tracks and the non LP tracks in good quality?Odnet wrote:I am all about "Death Parade". The beat is just so fucked up and "off" yet somehow works in brilliant fashion.

76 has the best beat, but "Death Parade" is undeniable. Still, it's basically impossible to pick a favorite song, as was the case for me with Marberg and Grief Pedigree. It works best as a whole, and every song is great. "Emeralds" and "The Man" are up there also.

Death Parade is on another level. Beat beat I've heard in quite some time. Dusty and haunting.

If i had to minus one song to add one, I would add "Sweet Nothings" and take away "Thread Count", but i would put "Sweet Nothings" near the end, either before or after "The Man".B. Ware tha Siniq wrote: Is there any song on the album that people don't like or regularly skip?

Re: Favorite track off Roc Marciano's Reloaded
the idea of marci running a label and helping to shape the sound of younger up-and-coming artists fills me with great optimism
most of the actual current roster of man bites dog records does not
http://www.manbitesdogrecords.com/artists/
albeit if this yields even one organically (ie not copy-paste by email) created Killah Priest/Marci collab it will be all worth while

One of his dopest lines on the album...drizzle wrote:really hard to pick
the beat transition in Thugs Prayer 2 into the sample from the first part, followed immediately by 76, is just godly to me and that's my favorite part of the album. Plus, 'you left a big pair of clarks to fill' is my favorite line on this thing
but then again, the russian pop sample on death parade slays me
and then the beat on The Man is incredible, and that's Marci's most overt turn into Yacht Rap, and that has the 'my bitch sat on the counter with a towel while i sang a rick james banger in the shower' and 'grab a big piece of shrimp by the tail' lines, and those are too good
Despite it being a single and one of the first cuts I heard off the album, Deeper is still my favorite. Just a fucking amazing song. One of my favorite beats he's ever made.

Yeah, Pistollier for me. For some reason never got into it as much as the rest of the album.B. Ware tha Siniq wrote:^^^I think so.
"Wee Ill" for me.
Surprised "Tek To A Mack" had no votes though... that's the one I go back and forth on. But there's really no wrong answer to this question.
Is there any song on the album that people don't like or regularly skip?
