Andre, hands down.
And I really dig DOOM's shit.
Just a matter of experience and personal taste in lyrics.
Andre's usually more concerned with getting a point across or telling a story (while still flowing dope as a mawfucka)...whereas DOOM has rhymed shit that, frankly, don't make sense to anyone anywhere.

Both dope tho.

Doom pretty much lost me after Operation. Andre lost me after Aquemini, but was at a level no one came close to during those years

Exactly. Doom could have 87 good albums, but he'll never touch the level Andre was at. And that's not a knock to Doom, because nobody could touch that level.

the only thing that made my decision was the fact that Dre keeps not rapping then going back to rapping; confusing me (even though its all good music)......although his catalog is impressive, i had to go with Doom on this one.....
