The only couple of times I've tried to use the site it's crashed my browser.

I don't have an opinion about the site either way, but I never really saw anyone saying anything about it, good or bad, until after they received a 15 million investment, then the knives came out, haha.

More than a few people had taken issue with the whole premise of the site well before they got paid. The fact that half the explanations on the site were just condescending, faux-academic comedy bits didn't help.

Mahbod Moghadam, the co-founder of Rap Genius who posted offensive comments on alleged mass murderer Elliot Rodger's 141-page manifesto Sunday, has left the company, according to Recode's Kara Swisher.
