this is fuckin dope! and i'm not much a Beastie Boys fan.

of course, Nas and a hot beat helps.

I'm loving this beat. I was getting suspicious that Mario C was the reason behind all the great production during the Check Your Head/ Ill Communication era...but this is a nice throwback to then. And nobody should be expecting teh lyrical miracles from the Beastie Boys. Entertaining is exactly what this is.

i'm not expecting lyrical miracles
but i also won't think rhymes grandmas could write are bearable

and i AM convinced all that dope production was mostly mr. caldato

mario c can't front on that

i think i'm slick
i catch bricks y'all

Apparently, it is from their new album, "Hot Sauce Committee Part 1". I have not seen a CDQ mp3, and thought it a waste to post a rip from Youtube that's been floating around. If anyone has CDQ, please up.

shit is aight.

honestly my favorite part was the dj work at the 2:30 mark.
song needed more of that and way less Mike D.
he may have completely lost his limited rhyming ability.

I like the Beastie's schtick, but juxtaposing their style next to Nas is just too stark a contrast.

yet still better than most music out right now. at least they're making some sort of attempt to do something different rather than follwoing the pack.

having said that, I dont really need to hear this again.
