We can wait another decade if this is what it's going to sound like.

Wasn't the whole reasoning behind the delay on this album the idea that Dre was finding "new sounds"? This sounds like a Chronic 2001 throw away with pac man noises edited in.

the Akon feature makes me think this is at least 3 years old.

Dre was on Power 106 saying it was recorded this summer. Talks about the album and so on.

Interview here: http://www.xclusiveszone.net/2010/11/au ... rhood.html

Song does indeed sound super outdated though.

The sharking of Touch It and Akon hook makes it sound dated. It's ok tho.

"I see the finish line right now. I'm wrapping it up. I need about two or three more songs and hopefully I'll start the mixing process at the end of next month. And from that point I'm about 30 days out...I felt like I was doing it more out of obligation as opposed to just really feeling it. As of last year, I've been really feeling where it's going and I think I'm ready. Hopefully, I won't disappoint...There was a version of ['Kush'] that leaked that I wasn't really happy about, so we're gonna go on and push it and put it out because everybody seems to like it. I just thought that the content of it, it's about weed smoking, and I don't want people to think that that's what my album is about. This is actually the only song with that type of content in it. It's not a representation of what the album is."

it's not a bad song at all...and listening to it with monitor headphones with xbass (sony xb 500) definitely makes it sound very good, to me. so what if it has akon on it? it's a song that has great bass...what's more to want in a dre song?

pretty dope
sounds like those tracks that leaked summer before last
don't worry dre will never put out a subpar album
even if that means not putting out an album at all

Nice. About 5 more years, 2 Dr. Pepper commercials, and 3 Eminem comebacks later, we might just get an album.

multiply each of those by two and you'll have your actual answer.

chronic and especially 2001 have not aged well at all.

in retrospect, he hit his peak on efil has been overrated since.

only people who give a fuck about dre in 2010 are middle aged dudes who havn't listened to rap in ten years other than the occasional jay z, eminem, or hip hop honors re-run.

take two:
only people checking for dre in 2010 are the people who say "fiddy" instead of "fifty" and then look around waiting for someone to laugh.

Everlast in 2010 > Dr.Dre in 2010

might I add, Everlast writes his music, can sing & play instruments.

Dr.Dre doesn't write any of his music, hires ghost producers & makes people wait mad years only to release a wack song with Akon. great

Trash part deux. Fuck this shit.

Dre is tarnishing his legacy making tracks like these, and I never thought he was a top tier producer in the first place. He's a phenomenal engineer though, or at least has phenomenal engineers working for him.
