Great fuckin news! Jeru is still dope and has that voice. I'm loking forward to this (of course)...

I'm not surprised you fools aren't interested in this when I see posts about Rick Ross, Waka Flocka, Tony Yayo, Freddie Gibbs, etc. I thought this place was a Hiphop site, yet the only Hiphop part about this place is the T.R.O.Y. section. I guess I understand why I don't really see any of you clowns over there. *shaking head*

You guys do know that Rick Ross, Drake, Tony Yayo, Lil "faggit" Wayne, Waka Flocka and all that isn't Hiphop, right? Yet you post on a Hiphop message board. Weird.

Hmmmm.

Interested to hear the Juju track(s). I know what to expect from Preem, Pete, and Large Pro in this decade, but it's been a while since I heard any new Beatnuts production.

Psycho Les did a beat and was featured on "Important Fact" on the new Black Sheep album. The song is dope. He also produced that "Low Co." joint on the Homeboy Sandman album and put out his own album called "Therapy: The Soundtrack". He was also a part of that Big City group (with Al Tariq & Problemz) and they put out an album in '07. As for JuJu, he co-produced a song on the Wale album called "Shades".

Good point, if Puffy pissed him off that much back then he must be furious presently. At least some Yankeeborks still care

If hip hop really was saved one day, would the borkpackers be happy and rejoice or be overcome with sadness because their reason for living was taken away?

I never listened to any Jeru album after Wrath of the Math, which is perhaps why I still have a fairly positive opinion of his rhyming. Should I assume his recent work has been horrible or is this just standard i-hate-rap-dinosaurs philaflavery?

This is a DL for me. Only out of curiosity/naive hope. I doubt it will be that great, or that good for that matter.

Only time will tell.

Well there's no *gasp* Premier on those albums. Which makes him just as bad and un-hiphop as Waka Flocka.

Yeah, I get the joke, Waka Flocka, Borks, Hip-hop saved, Yelawolf, MC DJ Premier.

Police your own and the mockery will subside. It won't change the fact that some of the worst music out there right now is made by and for self-proclaimed purists and saviors, but baby steps I guess.

Purists and saviors have what to do with me exactly?

Police my own? I didn't know I had a contingent on this site. You are talking to someone who thinks Gangstarr was overrated and never really liked Pete Rock.

You got borkpacker sympathies. They probably look up to you. Show them the way.

Lol. I am just about the music, if I like the music then I like it. I don't see any "borkpackers" in my threads about Max B, Elucid, Aesop Rock or Super Chron. When I posted up the Earl vid it wasn't like I did so expecting some wave of traditionalist appreciation. I remember when you were ethering anyone who had "lil' in their name and decrying any new rap music. Now you flipped on some Eldridge-Cleaver-in-Algeria and are all overboard the other direction. Which is fine, do you, I don't have a dog in the race either way.

I was just asking if Jeru's later work sucked because of bad beats or if he has actually fallen off greatly as a rapper. What would you have me do, burn my copy of Wrath of the Math, download every Waka Flocka mixtape and denounce DJ Premier on some Stalinist purge type shit?
