Album is fantastic. Probably my favorite of the year so far. Anxiously awaiting the deluxe pack. Want to see what's on this VHS tape.

Also, History of Modern Dance has grown on me immensely. Sounds great in the context of the album after Jon Lovitz and Idaho.

4NML HSPTL is still in rotation. After a few listens, looks like Dark Comedy will have the same staying power.

It's also on the Dorner Vs Tookie complication, which is well worth your time.

This album is an all timer. As in one of the best albums I've ever heard regardless of genre after the first few listens. So good lyrically but the beats are just as good. More representative of this era we're living in than any music I've heard the last several years. I can't even pick favorites, so consistently great.

Don't want to sound all stalker-y or whatever, but a while back, one of the two times we met, the conversation somehow turned to NHL 93, and I was talking about how the LA Kings were unfair, particularly Robitaille who was like twice as fast as everybody else in the game.

Give this man the co-writer credit or at least a point on the album, will ya?

Funny thing is, I later realized I'd misspoken and it wasn't Robitaille who was super fast. He was great too, but the broken character was Tony Granato.

Informations makes a lot of sense to me. There is so much informations out there flying at us all the time that we can't even process any of it properly; and we miss everything right in front of us too.

And the Kool Ad verse is funny

Man, fuck you, Mike. This shit is WAAAAAYYYYY too dope.

Only one real misstep, in my opinion: the Kool AD feature. You should have kept Informations to yourself and done a third verse. Kool just comes through and deflates the entire joint. It's a weird transition between your most energetic delivery on the album and the least energetic delivery on the album.

Other than that, shit is very much money. Listening to your albums is like reading a Klosterman book, just trying to catch all the references you pack in. So fucking good. I say it every time, but bravo.

Agree on Informations, but he is a name and that cross-over attention with his demographic is a good business move. Not saying that was the reason why he was on it, but still.

Album is very enjoyable from front to back.

seems like he's been on a lot of hellfyre club joints. I remember before anderson paak was signed there was a little "guess who the next artist signed to hellfyre club was" and I suspected it was going to be kool ad

I don't love AD's verse, but that gets like 10% of his fanbase (the ones that don't already check for Mike) to listen, that's worth it, right?

Album is really great.

i like what he did but i cant think of a good reason why. its not the same approach i took but i didnt expect him to do that. i just expected him to get the joke and add on to it in his way and i think he did that

It reminds me of Cobra Commander in a way, but with the opposite dynamic. In this one you are the hype MC, juxtaposed by the more mellow verse from Kool A.D., it definitely works.

I can most def respect the fact he attempted to somewhat stay in the conceptual lane of the song, unlike, say, Raekwon on Q's "Blind Threats" or something like that. I was just waiting for the next dude to come through with the YEEEEEEAAAAAHHHHH energy you had. Plus I've never really gravitated toward the "I rap like I couldn't give less of a fuck about rapping" thing that DR embraced so heavily.

Great song regardless.

Yeah- my whole issue with AD is his delivery (or lack thereof). Lyrically the verse is fine, but I don't have much patience for a guy who is deliberately bad at rapping.

This. Made me think of Cobra Commander too. The difference in delivery on both is a little jarring but i think it works well. Probably better on Informations. Took me a little while to come around to him, but Kool AD is pretty dope. Most of the stuff he's done with Hot Sugar has been great
