A complete and utter atrocity, front to back.

LOL. I heard one of the tracks awhile back and it was pretty underwhelming.

Who the fuck is Jahdan Blakkamoore of Noble Society?

Trash like every Duck Down release since forever. Is this even on Duck Down?

Well, there's some beats on here but there's really nothing i would want to listen to again. The joint with The Mexican beat with Hurricane G, I can see that getting friday night radio play but it probably won't.

Cats just don't do that timeless shit anymore.

Never imagined it would fall to me to defend Duckdown's rep, but Jesus Price, D.I.R.T., Random Axe and that new Monch are not in any way utter trash.

In their own ways, all of them are disappointing but "trash"? Really?

Gloss doesn't like the new Monch. I think it's pretty good.

I'd give it a 7/10. It's certainly well executed and even though it's not the ideal shit I want to hear from Monch, it's hard for me to imagine anyone reasonably open minded listening to it and coming away with "utter trash" as the lingering thought.

Just listened to the song with Hurricane G, can't believe Pete Rock just looped one of the most famous breaks ever and let his name grace this record. I'll pass.

Had a hard time listening to that album all the way through. Maybe I'll give it a try later when I can actually bump it on my stereo. May get better.

Pete is a shell of his former self. "Feel Me" and "This One" are shitty songs. There are a few dope joints on here though, like the one with Raekwon.

Oh and Jesus Price Supastar is a dope album what y'all talking about?

I bumped this last night for the first time and it didn't sound as terrible as you guys are making it out to be. Maybe I was in a forgiving mood, who knows?
I like that new Monch though - it's still in rotation for me.

Monkey Barz, Chemistry, Jesus Price Superstar, The Last Stand, DIRT, Double Barrel, WAR and Random Axe were all at least semi-solid releases, imho. Not saying that Duck Down doesn't have a pretty bad batting average since about 2005, but they've still released albums that get consistent spins from me.

Same thing I thought too, I have yet to hear some of the other albums on that list btwn 2005 and now released by Duck Down though, including Monumental. Some of them I just haven't had the chance to check out sometimes, especially as albums are now being released quicker than ever since the rise of the net.

I saw a thread at another forum that voiced some of the same views about Monumental as I see here:

The Lesson topic #2563211 - gatdamn that pete rock and smif n wessun is so wack!!!!

I've yet to hear the Random Axe project or WAR or Monumental, but I'm sure the first two are sure to be dope, or at least cop worthy. Perhaps the third too, iono tho.
