Aesop Rock - Skelethon

Post by DLG »

AesopRockWins Aesop Rock

Just finished recording the last verse on my new solo album. It's called Skelethon. It will be out this year.

pretty stoked, None Shall Pass was his best work to date IMO.

Not sure, he just had that picture on his twitter. Doubt that would be the cover.

I hate when f*ggots do this.

Release some news on an album and not provide any new material.

I could be wrong but I don't think that the cover.
As for production, Nope. it's 100% Aes. He's come into his own as a producer and wanted to do the whole thing himself. And I can tell you , it's very dope. A few songs on there are really some of the best shit I've ever heard him do.

Yeah. Much as I enjoy Blockhead's beats, I kind of dig what they're both doing now more.

Bazooka Tooth aged really well, IMO.

Blockhead was on his last album tho, and that was dope.

Bazooka Tooth is Aesop's best record and the one where he made it clear he was on his own path. It's like the second season of the wire that way, confusing and annoying at first but then later you see how completely necessary it was.

Plus it had the best artwork, beats and rhyming.

Because of your status as BFFs can you disclose any other tidbits of info for the fans regarding Skelethon?

He has a twitter I think that's the best place to hear updates on it, I was just pointing out that, that picture posted wasn't the cover. See being someones BFF really just means means if they get called faggid and you are there you say Nuh uh, and point out why.

no way Bazooka Tooth is his best record. Also, pretty sure Aesop Rock was on his "own path" from the jump. Lastly, season 2 of the wire can't hang with seasons 1, 4 and arguably 3. all of this is imho, of course. :megaman:

I rank them NSP, then Float.

Mostly because of the way he flows on these albums compared to the others.

Less punch-ins, less trying to cram a billion words into a bar, better flows overall imo. Production is great on all his albums though.
