...or at least the GOAT album if you cut it down to an average album's length...

FACT.

Somebody's Gotta Die
Kick In the Door
Last Day
I Love the Dough
What's Beef
Niggas Bleed
I Got a Story to Tell
Notorious Thugs
Ten Crack Commandments
Sky's the Limit
My Downfall
Long Kiss Goodnight
You're Nobody (Til Somebody Kills You)

Nothing's fucking with, not even Cuban or Illmatic.

thing is...

its not one album and you can't trim the fat because it was made with that fat.

it's also not better than ready to die.

If you turn this album I like into a totally different album it's a better album though.

I disagree. While it is a very good game, Donkey Kong is the greatest video game ever.

yup yup yup

'Hypnotize' alone spoils it for me. I've hated that beat since 1997.

Ready to Die >>>>> Life After Death

It was nice of Biggie Smalls to go and make "Notorious Thugs" with BTnH though. And a song with a RZA beat

Think even Biggie would disagree with you tbh

Thread is dumb as fuck anyway. Saying "Its the GOAT album if you cut it down" acknowledges its flawed in being way too fucking long, so already its not better than OBFCL or Illmatic as there's nothing that needs changing on those albums.

Also, lol @ anyone who still wants to listen to Hypnotize. Admittedly you cant cull it from the album but surely no one listens to that shit outside of involuntarily hearing it in a club or on radio or TV?

There aren't many double albums that deserve the "classic" tag. Way too sentimental about these mid-late 90s releases, but let's be real here. Almost every double album has a handful of filler that we could do without. Classics don't have filler.

We prob just need to have a "best double album" poll to resolve this

I agree. Best rap album ever. I'll just quote myself from the last time we had this conversation:
Only blemish on Life After Death is "Last Day" cause that Jada line. "Another" and "Nasty Boy", commonly cited as the filler tracks, both feature classic Biggie lyrics and are very underrated by playa haters.

People rate Ready To Die so high and the good "One More Chance" isn't even on it. Always was a bummer.

No, we don't. It's Wu-Tang Forever. There's no debate.
My avatar's existence is all the proof you need.

I'm at work, can't listen now, but it's listed as the buckwild original demo version in youtube. It could be mislabeled tho. If that's the case, I'll change it later on. It's def a must listen...
