Jets were fairly close to having it get away from them, but the Chargers couldn't stomp on their neck.

Stick to the NBA thread.Big Breeze wrote:I would just like to say that somebody who threw for 100 yards is going to go in the Indy against the MVP of the league and win a ballgame. Trent Dilfer he is not.
The Jets D is solid, but the '00 Ravens they are not.
He's there to manage the game, not be Peyton Manning.
Same experience last year for me and the Cardinals (except nobody was alive the last time they played for one). If you have a sister, turn your phone off for the rest of the playoffs.Joe Pesci wrote:I'm too young to remember the 98 AFC Championship Game well (:wtf: ), so this is the 1st time i'll ever get to watch the Jets play for a chance to go to the Super Bowl.
And it feels even better than I expected.

Thankfully my phone was in the other room so I didn't see the call until the game was almost over.

I'm well-rounded with my sports knowledge. Since you don't remember too much about the last time the Jets were in the AFC Championship, I could tell you a thing or two about them and your beloved baseball.Joe Pesci wrote:Stick to the NBA thread.Big Breeze wrote:I would just like to say that somebody who threw for 100 yards is going to go in the Indy against the MVP of the league and win a ballgame. I haven't posted too much in the football related threads because my football team, the Raiders haven't been buzzworthy enough to talk about. When basketball season is in effect and the Raiders are losing, I have a severe lack of interest.

i never knew keith brooking was a faggotMINNEAPOLIS -- Tempers flared Sunday at the Metrodome after Minnesota's final touchdown of a 34-3 playoff victory over Dallas, as Cowboys linebacker Keith Brooking sprinted toward the Vikings' sideline, taunting coach Brad Childress and later calling the late score "classless."
Vikings nose tackle Pat Williams, meanwhile, said Brooking was lucky to escape the Minnesota sideline in one piece.
"We don't care what Keith Brooking says," Williams said. "He was about to get his ass whupped on our sideline over there. It don't matter. Nobody said anything when they blew out the Eagles [the past two weeks].

You've got to really think about blowing up this Chargers team, right? Just packed with underachievers and chokers. Norv's ass should have been gone, and LT its been real. Not sure what else you can do, but this squad is built to disappoint in the playoffs.
All in all, this has been the worst two weekends of playoff football I can remember. Hopefully we get good games from here on out.

Yeah, they'll get their NT back next year an the D will be more stout. They need to draft a RB bad though, Jahvid Best is who I would look at if I were them.VideoKilledThe wrote:I don't think you really need to blow up the Chargers as much as you just need a few pieces here and there, a starting RB a Kicker a real head coach.
They got what most teams would kill to have: a really, really good young QB. As long as they build around Rivers, they will be fine, and they got a good supporting cast around him.
If they fire Norv, Singletary better be all over that shit.

The funny thing is that Nate Kaeding missed 3 field goals all year and made the Pro Bowl. He missed 3 field goals in one game and he's one of the reasons why the Chargers will be watching the Super Bowl instead of playing in it.
If he wouldn't have been so good all year, he would be cut by tomorrow. More than likely he will be back with the Bolts. You just can't get rid of Pro Bowl caliber kickers like that or can you? That remains to be seen.

Outside of my Cards pick, I feel great.Cash Rulz wrote:Of course going for the Jets. I agree that SD's strengths play into the NY's strengths and if Sanchez just continues to play smart we got this.
Jets 17 Chargers 13
I expect a shootout for real from Ariz/NO. Gonna be tough to call, but NO looked like they were on the downhill and when Ariz decides to play, they are pretty damn good.
Cardinals 37 Saints 34
Sorry Dallas. But I think AP is gonna be back this game. When they let him do his thing it sets Favre up.
Vikings 27 Dallas 17
Baltimore is charged up. But they are about to wake a sleeping giant with an Indy team that beats teams at will with the best QB to ever play the game.
Colts 23 Ravens 16
