Not sure about the 'racist fans' thing (referring to this occasion in parrticular). I saw this last night:

http://www.butireaditinthepaper.co.uk/2 ... ial-abuse/

...this morning I saw that the Guardian had it headlining though (I haven't read their story), so I'd imagine a bit more fact-checking has gone into it.

For the record, I don't think Liverpool fans are any more racist than any other club's fans, it was just because of that incident that I half-jokingly put "racist fans." I mean they're not Spanish or Italian right, so how bad could they be. But the fact that everyone's getting butthurt about it makes me feel the need to clarify.

Racist players
Racist fans
Too many faggish English midfielders
Luis Suarez's overbite
LeBron James has some sort of stake in them
Massholes owning the club
Andy Carroll's hair
Inability to properly pronounce Dirk Kuyt's name
Fragile Stevie G
Still living off Champs League miracle
That stupid fucking song
Rafa Benitez

I could do this for probably every club, but they were the only ones playing today, so they get it.
That's actually an excellent list.
Yes. Great having such insights from someone who has probably never even been to a game. If you don't think you hear racist/sexist/homophobic 'banter' at every ground in the country then you're being naive. Certainly happens at whatever big club you have chosen to follow - and pretty sure I have an anecdote to back that up.

FA Cup Weekend! Spending Saturday on my sofa.
Hi.

I'm fully aware of the racism that is rampant in football. Thanks though.

Stupidregs post was not only in regards to racism, but in regards to several factors which makes him hate Liverpool. Such as, among numerous other points, John Henry owning the club and lebron james having a minor stake in the club. I found some of his points witty, some of his points agreeable. That is all.

But there is a lot of butthurtedness now.

Here's that Jordan Rhodes lad that has got everyone talking. Scouts from 8 Prem clubs at the game last night to see him bang in 5...

Some atrocious refereeing at the end of the Catalan Derby, but I did think Espanyol played well and probably deserved a point.

Didn't see the Kompany challenge. What did people think?

Yeah Kompany actually touched the ball and never touched the handler. Weakest red in awhile.

Yeah, it was a super soft red. Yellow at the very most. It's a shame that the ref decided the game, but I doubt Kompany will serve the full three match ban.

It was a nice win for United despite the second half. They get to move past the drubbing at home and look forward to the rematch later on. City get to take heart because they almost came all the way back. Being out of the cup might be just what they need by getting more rest.

Love the FA cup. Macclesfield Town almost beat Bolton at their place. Finished 2-2, and get a rematch at Bolton's ground where they'll get a nice bit of cash.

Tottenham/Everton makeup on Wednesday to go with City/Liverpool Carling Cup match.

Le man, le myth, le legend.

Classic Henry curled, far-post finish. Almost too perfect.
Whether to Jason of Philaflava or John Podesta, I will speak my fucking perspective openly

I can't stop watching it! The stuff of legends, like something you'd dream up as a kid in your backyard.

Yeah, that is annoying. I think they think that because he has a Spanish name, that you need pronounce it they way a Spaniard would. In Mexico, everyone calls him JAVier. That is his name.

He will never learn the offside rule though.

How stupid must City feel gifting him to Spurs and paying his wages under the assumption that Spurs would be as terrible as they usually are. Guaranteed they won't sell him to them now.

Redknapp apparently wants Loic Remy. 15 mill is the price tag. Do want. Won't happen.
