Here's how it was actually scored.

Judge Richard Bertrand, who scored the fight 48-47 for Jones, gave him rounds 2, 4, and 5, scoring 1 and 3 for Gustafsson.

Judge Doug Crosby, who also scored the fight 48-47 for Jones, had the champion winning 3, 4, and 5, giving Gustafsson rounds 1 and 2.

And finally, judge Chris Lee, who scored the fight 49-46 for Jones, only awarded Gustafsson the first round, awarding 2, 3, 4, and 5 to Jones. All Judges agreed that Jones won 4 and 5 and that Gustafsson won round 1, it was only the middle two that saw them divided in their scoring.

IMO it would be no different than Matt Hamill continuing to pound an opponent because he could not hear the bell, I highly doubt he would get axed.

Palhares is a former street/jungle kid with a limited grasp of logic & communication skills,he's clearly working with a different mental scale than the average.

This ended up being as great as expected. Jesus, Melendez Vs Sanchez was entertaining as hell. Nelson/Cormier wasn't as good as I thought it might be. I don't think Cormier stands a chance against JDS or Valasquez. I root for Valasquez, but it's hard to root against dos Santos. I love those guys.

Cormier will never fight Cain so that doesn't matter. But I'd like to see him fight Dos Santos if not only for the fact that anytime an undefeated fighter faces a seemingly impossible challenge to overcome it's exciting.

Cormier is pretty good at stifling guys with his wrestling too. Not with the same pace as Cain but he shut down the offense of Mir and Nelson pretty easily. I think it's possible he could do that to Dos Santos for 3 rounds.
