Wow. Seriously. France? What a fucking joke. First Henry's handball then TWO offside goals to win them the game? Fucking ludicrous.

Spurs are still a year away (at least) from making any real noise.
We are nowhere near the City's/Chelsea's/Arsenal's/United's of the league.
...As Aguero nets a third goal for City.
Garbage.

City is putting on a clinic. As painful as this is to watch, the Citizens are excellent right now. That turn by Negredo was sick.
Seriously tho fuck this one.
I'll be back after the Jan. window shuts.

City are really good at putting their foot on team's necks once they go up big.
They'll also probably draw against Swansea next week.

That was pretty sad. I really didn't understand AVB's plan since he took off the only guy to get the ball to the strikers when he took Holtby off. Ade as a 10 is a joke.
Oh well at least the next match I watch in Cancun.

I'm flabbergasted by their amazing window, nothing but top shelf signings. Am I crazy to suggest they have a shot for the crown, even without Bale? And imagine if they had him. They could be playing woe is me with the whole Bale thing but they've killed it all summer. They don't even have Champions League appeal this year and are still shutting shit down. AVB must have some major pull.
Such a stark contrast to their rivals who are making panicked bids for EPL re-treds and overpaying for unproven commodities. Spurs could take half the year off and still finish 4th.

Stand by it. What has Bale done in La Liga that makes you think otherwise?Comedy Quaddafi wrote:Req wrote:IMO Lamela + Eriksen alone > Bale
AVB's tactics are woeful going forward. I actually wish 'Arry was managing them. They'd be no closer to a title, but at least they'd be fun to watch.

I don't see Lamela or Eriksen ever reaching the level Bale was on last year.

Personally I think Lamela is a phenomenal talent. I haven't a clue why AVB is mishandling him so badly. Under Wenger, he'd be an integral part of the team already. Like a much better version of Nasri, without the punchable face.Comedy Quaddafi wrote:I don't see Lamela or Eriksen ever reaching the level Bale was on last year.

Didn't see much of him in Roma, but keep in mind that his replacement, Ger-fucking-vinho, is tearing it up in Seria A too.
Question: Who of the new recruits to EPL have justified the hype so far? Negredo definitely, Wanyama too. Possibly Ozil, but honestly not really.
It's way too early, but so far I am just as sceptical towards the incoming players as I was in the summer.

If so, who replaces him?

ROFL
Do you want him to go, Positive A?
I feel a bit sorry for AVB. The chairman bought him a shiny new team of unproven potential, which caused a mediafrenzy and raised the expectations unrealistically high. What should his realistic benchmark be, given he has to drill a new team while their closest rivals (Liverpool and Everton) have improved a lot during the summer? If Tottenham end up @ 6th I think it should be considered the best possible scenario for them, and currently they're just 1 point away from MUFC who sit @ 6th. Taken the context in to account they're doing pretty good.

Re: Official European Football 2012 Regular Season Thread
I don't know, man. I really don't.
Who's better? Laudrup is the fave, but does bringing him in make us any better?
Lord Sugar wants Sir Alex in. I can get behind that one.
Klinsman? Hoddle? Mancini? Pochettino?
I don't know. Lots of football left. But I think you're right, sixth should be the goal.
We need a true LB.
We need Walker - Vertonghen - Chiriches - Insert real LB here
as our back 4.
Dawson was used and abused by City and I don't think he has anything left. He's out of his element as a starting CB for a club with lofty ambitions.
Kaboul? Pffft.
Soldado looks so lost leading the line.
We have all these talented youngsters, but on the pitch, we're one of the least interesting teams in the league.
Have you seen a full Spurs game? Our 'passing' in the final third is so fucking hilarious.
Rant.

Sir Alex? Never happen.Positive A wrote:Lord Sugar wants Sir Alex in. I can get behind that one.
Klinsman? Hoddle? Mancini? Pochettino?
Klinsman? I doubt he'd leave the US position until after the World Cup.
Hoddle? I really fucking hope not.
Mancini? I doubt he'd leave Galatasaray right now. They're still (for the moment) in the Champions League and I bet theyre paying dude out the ass.
Pochettino? That one I wouldn't mind at all. He's done really well punching about his weight at Southampton and I could possibly see him wanting to be at a "bigger" club like Tottenham (even though we're a few positions behind them on the table.
I really don't have any idea who they'd go for. Maybe offer Neil Lennon a job in England? He's done well to get Celtic as far as they have in the Champions League over the past two years. But the fact that they're basically playing friendlys with San marino every week as far as there opponents now that rangers are 17 tiers below them now. I don't know if I'd really want him at Spurs that much. its just that I'm hella stoned and that's the only name that came to mind.

Re: Official European Football 2012 Regular Season Thread
Pretty much got exposed today as an average side with really good strikers, but with Sturridge out for the next month or so Pool are pretty much the same side that didn't qualify for Europe last year. Moses was utter shit today. Not sure why Coutinho didn't start, or why Agger hasn't regained his starting spot, I rate Agger as the best CB on the squad but BR seems to prefer Skrtel and Kolo.

FINALLY. A win. Fulham look so poor. A very disinterested looking team, with only Scott Parker looking any good. I think I know how that story ends...
If we can get another 3 points off the Stripey Nigels on Tuesday, that gives us a nice cushion for Anfield on Saturday (which I'm gonna be there for ).
Very classy from Ramsey. Caught 2 of the games yesterday on the radio - was confident Chelsea would come back and win it. Can see Southampton and Swansea coming down with the Christmas decorations.
