Sort of, but have a dislike for Southampton after the Championship season. Probably just jealousy, but their fans are tossers.

Sunderland and Toronto FC have agreed to a deal to swap strikers, with Jozy Altidore heading to the MLS club and Defoe returning to the Premier League, sources confirmed to ESPN FC.

Sunderland will also send an unspecified amount of cash to Toronto and MLS as part of the deal.
Because I guess TFC feels like not scoring for months or something? If you haven't already come to grips with the fact that Jozy Altidore is not really that good, now might be your chance.

I heard Sunderland is sending a shitload of money by the way.

Sunderland was a terrible transfer choice from jump street. He should have stayed in the Dutch league.

Better to be playing and scoring in a lesser league, than never playing and never scoring in a better league.

I bet he does good in the MLS, he did before.

He wanted to try and hack it, I can't blame him. He's just not cut out for the league it seems, after failing at Hull and now Sunderland. I don't watch a lot of him but it seems his biggest advantage is his strength but that doesn't really matter when you play in the most physical league in the world. I've never really seen him create anything on his own and the EPL doesn't give you time to figure things out. He's not technically gifted enough to play in the better leagues, maybe some place like Russia would be his European peak.

He's shit. Hull didn't even recall him for seasons in the Championship did they?

So good. So tired today though. Didn't get home 'til nearly midnight and had to have a couple of beers on the tube home to settle my nerves. Watched about 2 of the penalties.

2 hours of football and 20 pens against 10 men. That's what it takes for us to beat Everton.

Jozy Altidore's European career: a badly advised, confidence sapping failure
The forward has done well for the US national team but he was rushed into a career in Europe far too soon

How can you analyze his failure if you don't look at what made him decent in the first place? He did well in Holland to some extent but even then most serious football fans doubted his move to the PL. Technically and movement-wise, he was not good enough for the PL and his physicality was his one thing that set him apart in the first place. Badly scouted by Sunderland imo, he would've done better in a different league.

Don't forget he was at Hull before Sunderland, and crap for them too. I believe they went down that season. 1 goal in the league. No idea what made Sunderland sign him.

Agreed. In a different league, on a different team, he could be successful. If you are expecting to play him alone up top, you're kidding yourself. He can't create for himself, and needs a no.10 to feed him the ball in the box.

Poor choice by Sunderland to sign him, and poor choice by Jozy to go there.

Oh wow. We are going to reclaim the cup. Didn't watch anything today but every game has been an upset basically. WTF.

Yep, Yak & SR are right

FA Cup >>>>>>>

It's the best club tournament besides CL, and it's not even close. Even CL any decent football fan can look at the group stages and pick practically every side that will make the knockout rounds. FA Cup forget about it, every single year there are crazy unpredictable results.

Six reasons why giant killing sucks
We should celebrate Premier League Goliaths crushing lower-league Davids.

- When your own team is cast as Goliath
- Let them eat clichés
- Choreographed goal celebrations
- Small-town glory hunters
- We should celebrate professionalism
- Too many upsets devalue the FA Cup

Shocked to read that Zaha never started a league match for United? I can't understand that. Also don't understand why Januzaj doesn't get more looks.
