The Browns are saying they won't trade him which is idiotic if it's true
Hey, by the way who's Curt?

Is Andre Johnson a Hall of Famer?Titans WR Andre Johnson has retired after 14 seasons in the NFL.
Former Texans great Arian Foster decided to hang 'em up last Monday, and Johnson followed suit this week. Although he spent the final two seasons of his career with division foes, Johnson will always be remembered as a Texan. Houston drafted Johnson with the third overall pick in the 2003 draft, and he repaid the favor with 1,012 catches for 13,597 yards and 64 touchdowns in 12 seasons. He finishes his career ninth in receptions, 10th in receiving yards, and 40th in touchdowns. Clearly one of the best receivers of his generation, Johnson is likely headed to the Hall of Fame.

I say no. His TD total is way too low.

Browns just traded for Jamie Collins too for a future 3rd. Has to be more to that trade, he's been one of the best young defensive players in the league.
It was a crazy day yesterday and I'm not sure how I feel about it. At one point during the 1:00 games it seemed like there was a new concussed player every other minute.

Look at the Browns making moves! From what I heard, Collins was looking for VON Miller money and he wasn't going to get it.

Regardless, I think we can both agree that Zeke is the best RB in the entire NFLcapable_keL wrote:Zeke is guilty of abusing women on 5 separate occasions.GUCCI CONDOMS wrote:Dallas thocapable_keL wrote:That and Gordon breaking a coach's leg on the sidelineDLG wrote:highlight of this week was a bills fan throwing a dildo onto the field

Naw, we can agree that he's running behind the best line. He's not better than Lev Bell or David Johnson.

Re: 2016-17 NFL Season Thread
I mean...the Fucking Patriots. Looking to be BY FAR the best team in the league and just flipping away a 27 yr old all pro like Jamie Collins mid season. Don't compare them to any other sports organization. They're not like the Spurs, they're not like the Cardinals or any other exemplary franchise you want to compare them to. It's not fun to be a Patriot until you get to the off season unless you're as hyper competitive and crazy as Hoodie.
Hoodie has power absolute and runs a ship tighter than any corporation on the planet. Emotionless. Cold. Bottom Line.
He realized after a couple crushing Super Bowl losses that having the BEST team doesn't matter. He's like a bottom line gambler, playing for the long haul trying to give himself the most high percentage shots, both as a coach and a GM. Collins could be HUGE for their Super Bowl run this yr, but Bill was able to put his GM cap on and make a decision on a player he thought he would lose in the off season anyway. I don't doubt that he factored in the rest of the league being average as fuck this year into his decision. He loves Brady and realizes how lucky he is to have him, but he also intends to coach long after Brady retires.

Apparently Collins was traded because
a. He was underperforming and wasn't that good this year.
b. He wanted Von Miller money.

Welcome back reality. Knew the offense would be an issue but man this is embarrassing
Re: 2016-17 NFL Season Thread
re Collins trade
the pats will continue to dominate. no question. the story that I read outright said 'Collins was freelancing on d' which if true clearly the hood doesn't give a fuck about a freelancer who isn't helping the team. whether Collins is doing it (or playing poorly) intentionally is another story. I am on some 'wait and see' shit. I am unsure whether Collins is really THAT amazing a player because hood def is real shit. and I think the browns are looking at Collins too much as a single guy rather than a sweet cog that has been used well in this amazing machine. just like a bjge. just like a Matt cassel.
if the browns are right though and you can pay a player for their production it's great trade for them to get their hands on this guy. but that seems wrong to me. because a guy like Collins where the front really must play as one organism (and hoodie d front is the gawd organism) is really just a single cell in that organism. the only way this works out astonishingly well is if the browns d plans to ape the hood and steal his shit. but my guess is they don't have the formula to the sauce.

Shurmur is Bradford's boy though and the offense has been sputtering. I'd take it as a positive move for the team.

Re: 2016-17 NFL Season Thread
You can't fix the Oline problem mid-season. Peterson was good enough to be effective despite the line. I mean he somehow won the rushing title last year, the line was just as shitty then.
Honestly they just need to grind out 11-5, then hope they can string 4 defensive masterpieces together like the Ravens.
I don't think the Vikings will win any game they are 0 or negative in turnovers.

Re: 2016-17 NFL Season Thread
per usual, you're absolutely correct. Shurmur called the plays for Sam's first 4 games when they sliced through the Panthers, Packers, Giants, & Texans. While Norv was still trying to run the wildcat and 7 step drops, Shurmur will put Sammy in a position to make playsunclebengi wrote:Shurmur is Bradford's boy though and the offense has been sputtering.
