I picked the rockets before the season began and am sticking with my pick but not out of stubbornness.

I picked Rockets over Pacers before the season started.

I'm going with Spurs over Heat now.

Shit I didn't realize Beverley was back for the Rockets, now I have no idea what to do with the west.

First Round:

Pacers over Hawks in 6
Wizards over Bulls in 6
Heat over Bobcats in 5
Nets over Raptors in 7
Spurs over Mavs in 4
Rockets over Blazers in 5
Grizzlies over Thunder in 7
Clippers over Warriors in 6

Don't like that the Grizz just lost Calathes, but I think the Conley/Westbrook matchup will be key, think Conley will have a huge series. I think Wall has a huge series too and is enough to lift the Wiz over the Bulls.

The Hawks are a horrible matchup for the 'cers with 5 three point shooters including two bigs that Hibbert and West have to chase around. I think the Pacers need to play 'good' ('average' is usually the goal) offense to win the series because the Hawks will get hot from deep at least a couple games, especially with George Hill "guarding" Teague. I would have Hill chase Korver around screens, put PG on Teague, and Lance on Carroll for at least the 4th quarter, preferably more. Hill and Teague have played against each other their whole life and while Hill seems to play good on O against Teague, he can't stay in front of him on D. Vogel will have a quick hook w/ Hibbert if he's not effective.

Part of the reason I picked them is because it's consistent with my preseason prediction. But I agree. Their path is ridiculously difficult. Atleast the Spurs will have a relatively easy path to to the second round. There's just no easy games for the Thunder. But their talent gives the Spurs fits, and I think the exhaustion of playing nonstop games for years will finally catch up with the Heat. I'm far from certain that they'll do it tho. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they lost to the Clippers in the second round.

I hate how soft the league has gotten. I miss 90's style of physical ball. The league calls the games too tight.

Just sayin'

Anyways, the raps look nervous as hell right now. I expect them to calm down. Our second unit is good and will play well.

Also, and I can't confirm this, but my coworker just said the Raps have the highest ticket prices in the playoffs. he said it would be cheaper to fly to Brooklyn and go to a game. WTF?

That's insane, 'cers tickets have to be near the cheapest around. Still over 500 available for today's game on Stubhub starting at $19.00.

That's how it was for the Dubs-Nugs last year. Me and my boy did the math and it was cheaper to fly to Denver, pay for lodging and get a ticket at the Pepsi Center than it was to take public transportation to Oakland and watch the game at Oracle
