Yeah wasn't impressed with Mattingly and not for nothing, no bias, but you have to find Utley more AB's.

I can't rationalize at all why you don't play Utley more if you're Mattingly. Utley has been a met killer his whole career. Mattingly def deserves to be fired.

Best Met killer. Most experience than anyone else in the post season on that team and had the most success in the post season.

The post season is a completely different animal. You guys know this.

Fact is, you play your stars. Find ways to get them ABs. Utley has the best track record on this team vs. Mets and in the post season especially.

that's fine. He's a situational player who can get at-bats as the game dictates.

You're missing the point being contrarian. I'm not saying he should start every game but certainly more than 2 AB's in 4 games.

But I think you're underestimating Kendrick. At this point you want him on the field more than utley.

Kendrick is great. But you still find ways. I mean, as great as Kendrick has been when healthy, he doesn't have the numbers Utley does against NY. Shit, I would have played Utley in RF before the series to see if its possible. Ruggiano, Crawford and others were just atrocious. Even if you can't start Utley, you get him more than 2 PH AB's. That's all.

Murphy is an above average hitter. He is tied for 5th in doubles in the NL this season.
