Jets, Cincy has played so poorly down the stretch hard to pick them
Eagles, Romo goes Romo and throw 4 INT's
NE - only because they are at home
Cards - I agree with AA on the shootout, my gut says Ftiz makes a big play for the game winning score. this will easily be the most entertaining game all weekend
Redskins get a bye week to the draft

Packers win in a shoot out
Cincy got a good look at what the Jets are going to try to do next week, you have to think they'll be able to step up when they're at home actually playing for something.
I want Philly to win just cause I love it when bad things happen to Dallas.
Pats beat Baltimore.
Packers put it on the Cards and win by at least 2 scores.

soft schedules, MN and GB's were laughably easy and NO wasn't much tougherRoy Johnson wrote:Minimum of 30 TDs
Man, that's fucking insane that Favre and Rodgers are at 3 and 4, respectively.1. Tom Brady 6.25 (2007: 50 TD, 8 INT)
2. Peyton Manning 4.90 (2004: 49 TD, 10 INT)
3. Brett Favre 4.71 (2009: 33 TD, 7 INT)
4. Aaron Rodgers 4.28 (2009: 30 TD, 7 INT)
5. Daunte Culpepper 3.55 (2004: 39 TD, 11 INT)
6. Steve Young 3.50 (1994: 35 TD, 10 INT)
7. Randall Cunningham 3.40 (1998: 34 TD, 10 INT)
8. Kurt Warner 3.15 (1999: 41 TD, 13 INT)
9. Jeff Garcia 3.10 (2000: 31 TD, 10 INT)
10. Drew Brees 3.09 (2009: 34 TD, 11 INT)
10. Philip Rivers 3.09 (2008: 34 TD, 11 INT)
12. Steve Young 3.00 (1998: 36 TD, 12 INT)
12. Brett Favre 3.00 (1996: 39 TD, 13 INT)
And ER, of course TD-to-INT ratio isn't the only thing that gets taken into account. That's twice now that you've accused me of having tunnel vision, like this is the only shit that I look at.
I mean you were ragging on Brady saying he only had 18-13 if you ignore his Tenn and Jacksonville game, yet ignore the fact that of the remaining 13games they were vs absurd pass defense, Jets x2, Buffalo x2, Carolina, Baltimore and other games vs average to above average pass d Indy, NO, Miami x2
the vikings played some good pass defense as well Car/Balt overlap but also StLouis, Detroit x2, Cleveland, Chicago x2
so yeah you were getting tunnel vision, Brady>>Favre, Brees/Manning/Rivers are all givens as well, so you keep posting this zomg 3rd alltime ratio for a guy having the 5th best season at his position this year
Jets 17 - Cincinnati 10
Jets dominate the line and hold Benson to under 75 yards. Special teams might make a difference here.
Dallas 31 - Philadelphia 21
Dallas will repeat this past Sunday's disaster for the Iggles only not as bad a blowout.
NE 28 - Bal 17
Pats remain undefeated at home - c/s an-also...just think it'll be higher scoring
Packers 35-31
Packers win in a shootout thriller with a late TD. I believe in Aaron.

You my friend have a little case of tunnel vision yourself. You say Rodgers had an easy sked and thats all you're looking at. When you look at the bigger picture and see the the Rodgers was working with the worst O-Line for more than half the season, the things he did look even more outstanding. Also the packers running game didnt get started till the second half either

no shame in 6th best, especially since he's young and the most valuable commodity in the league

Chad told Bob Costas he'd change his name back to Chad Johnson if Revis shut him down Sunday night. Your move, Chad. Asked by a reporter after the game if he still planned to change his last name back to "Johnson,'' OchoCinco said, "Child, please.''

Hey idiot, The steelers and pats were both better teams this decade. You shut down a chance to go 19-0 with this lame ass excuse. This is likely my last word on the Colts' decision to bypass the chance to go for the unbeaten season, but I couldn't let president Bill Polian's comments to Rich Eisen on NFL Network the other night pass without a challenge. Polian said the perfect season "we did not feel was a historic achievement.'' But, Polian said, winning more games than any team in a decade, and winning the most consecutive regular-season games are "historical milestones that were worth going out there and risking everything for.''

I know it's meathead talk, but taking care of business against lesser opponents is what it's all about. That's the sign of a good team and/or player.eternalreflection wrote:soft schedules, MN and GB's were laughably easy and NO wasn't much tougher1. Tom Brady 6.25 (2007: 50 TD, 8 INT)

I could never fault someone for annihilating wack teams. It's a very admirable quality to have.
No matter the competition, you must factor in bust-out years from Sidney Rice and Visanthe Shiancoe. You need to put more weight into a rookie #3 receiver putting up 800 yards and 6 TDs.
Favre is not waxing Brady in the '09 MVP standings, but he should be ahead of him. Aaron Rodgers too.

quite the breakout
Rice was hurt last year, but was good in limited role as a rookie and was a good bet to breakout this year regardless of who was at QB, in 5years you'll look back and think damn he was an absolute monster steal in the 2nd round
Harvin gets a lot of yards after catch, and is like Welker, and if you have a #1 you can put a ton of guys in that situation and get good results

That is a 57% increase in touchdowns, and he finished two short of the all-time record for a TE.eternalreflection wrote:Shiancoe

You underestimate how difficult it is to actually get into the end zone, even against a wack team.
Harvin gets a lot of yards after the catch, but more often than not, it's the QB that sets that shit up, right? Hitting him in stride and what not?

Scoring touchdowns in 10 out of 16 games is fucking huge. The fact that he's the same player is precisely my point, ER. I'm attributing the difference to Favre. What, you don't believe that red zone execution is relevant?eternalreflection wrote:lol he's the same player as last year just is the favorite target of the QB inside the 10 and they throw in those situations much more often than last year
Again, it's always difficult to get into the end zone, even against the worst teams in the league. Most games with a TD reception
1. Larry Fitzgerald: 11
2. Vernon Davis: 10
3. Visanthe Shiancoe: 10
4. Reggie Wayne: 9
5. Roddy White: 9
6. Desean Jackson: 9
7. Miles Austin: 9
8. Randy Moss: 8
9. Marques Colston: 8
10. Robert Meachem: 8
11. Brent Celek: 8
Also, check out the Brees effect with Colston and Meachem both at 8 a piece.

NY Jets at Cincinnati - cinncy will handle the gang green easily. they will score quickly forcing sanchise (ugh) into his patent 3-4 awful decisions a game
bengals 29 jets 13
Philadelphia at Dallas - see week 17 thread. its a pick em. going eagles
Baltimore at New England - the loss of welker is huge...but they are the patriots, i will always put my money on the pats because brady is brady. even tho new england has looked beatable all year, i cant bet on balt to get it done on the road
pats 17 balt 13
Green Bay at Arizona - i dont see the high scoring game that most are thinking we are going to see. if the cards can get to rodgers early and make him move his feet the cards can get a win. i am excited to see how warner comes out early because if they can set the pace ealry they can dictate the game. although, rodgers is just too good right now, the o line is starting to gel.. if they can run the ball it will open up the whole field
pack wins 24 to 23
then the pack beats the who dat saints
NFC championship game is in Minnesota
boosh

satan himself could pick the jets and there is still no way they win. keep it real: you have a great defense, an amazing line, and a running game that makes me blush.Joe Pesci wrote:I hope everybody keeps picking against the Jets in the 1st round.
but you honestly think sanchise (sighs) can lead this team to a victory on the road against a team as phsical as the bengals?
no respectable NFL guy would ever pick the jets. i would love to see them go all the way to the super bowl so favre could put the cherry ontop of his "hahaha fuck you" season.
but i live on earth. the sky is blue, the grass is green and the bengals will beat the jets

its standard year to year variance in TD totals, not anything special from Favre jesus christ this isn't complicated

Moss is playing close to as well as he did in 07 but scored 10fewer TDs, its completely normal for there to be pretty big swings in TD totals from year to year
Wayne went from 10 to 6 to 10 with same level of QB play each year
