I love me some Bynum, a consistently healthy(...let a guy dream) Bynum competes with Dwight for best center in the game, but in reality he is a ticking timebomb liable to explode ... and yet, simultaneously the difference maker that transforms the Lakers from a really good team to a championship caliber team.
The way the brackets ended up the path to a chip doesn't look too bad, if you say
it's Hornets, Blazers, Spurs/Thunder, Chicago/Miami/Boston
could have been something like Nuggets, Spurs, Thunder, Chicago/Miami/Boston
If the Lakers did threepeat, it would give Kobe and Fish 6 rings - the most of any Lakers all-time, and if they beat the Bulls it will be on the 20th year anniversary of the first Jordan/Pip/Phil threepeat, a symmetry certainly not lost on the Zin Master.

I'm curious Video on how you became a Laker fan living in Chicago? You are also a fan of the 49ers and European Football. Do you have Cali ties? Are you a Euro transplant who watched the NBA Finals from your native country at 3:00 in the morning so that you could watch it live? Inquiring minds on the would like to know why you have such diverse interests?

the short answer is because of my dad. who is from LA (really the valley) and took me to a couple of Laker games growing up, he also told me as a kid I would like the Niners, or I would find another place to sleep at night. my dad was also in the army, so naturally we moved around a ton including living in Germany for several years so soccer just stuck with me.
I went to grad school in Chicago, and currently live in Michigan so I can be closer to my sister who is ill.
Someday I hope to move back to Cali, but it probably won't happen for a few years.

Not gunna front like I'm anything more than a casual Hornets fan since i don't get the chance to watch them often living here. But with the Lakers as banged up as they are if we can steal a couple games anything can happen. Really wishing we had west right now though.
