Whose your favorite or who do u think the best fielder is out of these listed names:

Omar vizuel
Ozzie smith
Brooks robinson
Ivan rodriguez
roberto alomar

all exceptional fielders with several gold gloves and even less errors. this should make some interesting debate i can't exactly choose which one myself.

As far as great plays or grabs i'll take Willie mays over the shoulder old school grabs, Ken griffey jr. running into walls at the Kingdome, Jeter's agile play back in 01 alds with posada, and Jim edmonds making crazy plays on Sportscenter.

a solid 75% of spectacular Jeter plays would have been routine ones for Adam Everett

the flip was still awesome though

Can't really rank Ozzie and Brooks as I've only seen highlights, but for the other three:

Omar
Pudge
Robbie

Visquel is not in the same league as Ozzie, Pudge & Robbie, who are basically the best ever at their positions.
Extremely overrated player, should not make the HOF imo.

So am I. Although they all were better hitters than Visquel too.

It's been a trendy thing to act like Omar was the second coming of the Wizard but Ozzie was in a whole different planet compared to anyone before or since playing the position.

Barry was an adequate but unspectacular fielder ala Derek Jeter.

Great user name though.

Ozzie is easily the best fielder out of that list.

One of my favorite Ozzie moments was in a all star game towards the end of his career, a AL player was up to bat and lost controll of the bat and it went flying into the NL dugout. Ozzie cooly like it wasn't no thing just reaches out and plucks the bat out of the air.

rey ordonez had one year when he made the most :ohsh: plays i've ever seen. he made routine grounders look fucking amazing because he would do that impossible slide stop. that is all
