Ugh can't see the Usa getting out of group, they are tbe worst team of the 4. was hoping for Honduras' spot in group e. lol@Argentina's group. spain kinda got fucked with the dutch n chile in group, plus Brazil lurking in the knockout round.
Re: Official European Football 2012 Regular Season Thread

Re: Official European Football 2012 Regular Season Thread
So Arsenal is the only team that wants to win the league?
Re: Official European Football 2012 Regular Season Thread
I think Ozil could well be their Cantona, i.e. a player who arrives at a team that has all the right pieces and makes it work. The one critique of them has been their backline, so if they're still keeping clean sheets come Feb, then yes, they'll take it at a canter. I've always said if United don't win it, I'd much prefer Arsenal over Chelsea or City. I hope that's the case this year.Positive A wrote:So Arsenal is the only team that wants to win the league?

Re: Official European Football 2012 Regular Season Thread
Spurs were a lot better today than they were against Fulham. That's for damn sure.
I've come to the terrible realization that we are better with Defoe leading the line instead of Soldado.
Lloris done fucked up again today though.

LOL@Arsenal inevitably getting Barcelona or Bayern in the next round for dicking around.

Re: Official European Football 2012 Regular Season Thread
I thought the same thing, "fucking great." But now I'm strangely calm. The only team to fear is Bayern and they've proven they can hang with them. Still, they could be playing fucking Olympiakos but will end up with PSG or some shit while United draw pathetic Zenit. Idiots.Req wrote:LOL@Arsenal inevitably getting Barcelona or Bayern in the next round for dicking around.

Re: Official European Football 2012 Regular Season Thread
It's pretty fucked up that the "easiest" draw is Atletico Madrid. That's some reward for surviving the group of death. Meanwhile United and Chelsea got to stroll through a group of creampuffs and because of that, get a second round of creampuffs. Makes total sense.Req wrote:
And I didn't say Arsenal will beat Bayern but at least they showed they can put up a fight. Unlike, say, United who would get absolutely steamrolled.

It's really strange (and scary) how they can just seem turn it on whenever they want. It's this weird combination of boredom and arrogance.

City finally shored up the CB's too. Hart or the Mutant as goaltenders still are a bit suspect. Hopefully tomorrow is a good day for Spurs. It could be awesome or typical Spurs. Wooha.

great road win without 2 of pools most influential players. br got the tactics spot on. sterling looked dangerous every time he got the ball, just needs to work on that finishing.

Seriously, Spurs are so boring and clueless. Are they really that reliant on Christian Eriksen?

Can we get Bill Nicholson's corpse to manage this team? The side would have infinitely more life in it.

Re: Official European Football 2012 Regular Season Thread
I never understood why they got rid of Redknapp, personally.
Whatever, though. I don't like Tottenham and think Levy is an arsehole.
If we win there again on Wednesday I'll probably soil myself. Don't think either manager is that bothered about the result though, which is kind of annoying.

Good riddance you brain dead fuck.
There was not a manager in the league as devoid of ideas and tactics as this overrated sack of shit. AVB makes Tony Pulis look like Rinus Michels.
