good luck to your teams this year boys. Wild got Vanek in the offseason so we'll probably be unstoppable....lol.

Av's are gonna win the Norris again too.

Rebuild year 2 for the Flames...Hopefully we keep playing strong as a team and improve on our 26th place finish last year. Big thing right now is whether Johnny Gaudreau makes the team. He was dope in college and has been great in international tourneys and pre-season but will a full NHL schedule burn him out? I wouldn't mind seeing him start in our AHL affiliate and see what happens from there.

Calgary seems to be the team to watch for some good fights this year.

This. Now if we can just keep that and add to our skill level I will be happy. The youngsters had a pretty good game last night. Sean Monahan and Josh Jooris with 2 goals each and Gaudreau with 3 assists.

this SHOULD be year one of the rebuild in vancouver. instead its "re-tooling" bullshit, instead of doing a total firesale and proper tanking, we'll probably be in the mix for 8th seed playoff birth and another first round exit. ugh. #TANK4MCDAVID

First goal in that Flames vid kinda sucks. Next two were textbook sexy.

Hustler, you won't have to worry about the playoffs. I figure the Canucks will be on fire for a week stretch, then they kick into zombie Hastings mode for a few weeks.

How good is drouin gonna be? Saw a little article on him today.

And how unfair is the pacific division? Whoever makes it to the west finals has to go through some combo of la, Anaheim and sj

Drouin is gonna be good. Watched him all through Juniors. He's might have issues though. He got sent back to Juniors last season (perfectly normal for a kid his age) and he got fucking attitude. Steve Yzerman flew here to have meetings with him and shit. I hope he doesn't become a head case. He's got serious talent though. Stamkos needs to set him straight. But he could rack up assists on that PP.

I'm secretly hoping the Wings suck this year so we can win the Connor McDavid draft sweepstakes. Never thought I'd want the wings to tank but its time.

Meh. One player doesn't make a team in the NHL. Look at all those Edmonton picks. That team is a disaster. Hope Nurse pans out though.

edmonton is probably going to finish last in the west again. only question is, did buffalo improve enough to be better. my guess is yes. florida might give them a run.

Pens are almost a completely different team. I am not really mad about it either. Looking forward to seeing everyone play. So many new forwards on the team. Thank god James Neal is not on this team anymore.

That pic is actually scary. Also, I snuck Raymond into my weekly lineup at the last minute. Genius.

Flyers defense is the biggest dumpster fire there's ever been. Grossmann got beaten to the outside twice last night, and took two penalties in a crucial stretch of play. L. Schenn is constantly out of position. Braydon Coburn is injured, pushing Nick Schultz into the lineup. Timonen's probably never coming back. Streit is the only one standing that's not a bottom-pairing guy. (MDZ has looked pretty good through two games, but the sample size is too small to make any kind of legit judgement.)

But at least Wayne Train is a beast. Voracek's been outstanding behind/around the net. Giroux looks like he's still hurt, but he took control a couple times last night.

Borderline playoff team, especially because of our D.
