Jesus, and I thought I was a "Big Hall" advocate.
Bonds, Griffey and Clemens are clearly the best three players here. But fuck it I threw a vote to Rock instead of Rocket.

Lee Smith is a terrible HOF candidate other than the saves total. Same with Hoffman really.
Fuck putting relievers with 28 WAR in before great starters like Gooden, Saberhagen, and Brown who didn't get in with twice that amount.
I'm on the fence with McGriff, Edmonds and Kent. If you let those guys in don't you have to vote for Walker and Sosa too?

I can go either way with the closers, though I do think they will eventually get in.

McGriff tho, he is totally HOF. I hate how he has little support. He had a nice lengthy career and he has the #'s. Edmunds doesn't have the numbers but that glove. Plus that 10 year span he had was pretty phenomenal.

I'm probably hating on Edmonds more than I should because of how little love my dude Kenny Lofton got. And no way he should get in until Raines does obv.

Raines HAS to get in. Much love for Lofton tho.

Bagwell (homer pick), Bonds, and Griffey Jr.

I'm fine with letting all the roiders in. Mcgwire, Sosa, Clemens, etc.

I should hope so. The media hates him and clearly he used roids too, but he had a really stellar career. Manny Ramirez better get in too.

Picking only three players makes this exceptionally easy:

Bonds, Clemens, Junior.

How does Clemens only have 3 votes? The man is arguably among the top 3-4 best pitchers in baseball.

I don't think Lee Smith deserves to be in the HOF. Hoffman is a bubble case to me.

Jeff Bagwell
Barry Bonds
Roger Clemens
Ken Griffey Jr.
Trevor Hoffman
Jeff Kent
Edgar Martinez
Mark McGwire
Mike Mussina
Mike Piazza
Tim Raines
Curt Schilling
Gary Sheffield
Sammy Sosa

These are the guys with a case for the hall imo. I'm not saying all should get in but they have an argument.

Didn't realize the hall got rid of a bunch of dead weight voters, this should be a good thing to help push the guys on the brink over the edge, I hope.
The Hall of Fame asks the writers to vote for its honor, and its board can amend the rules at any time.

The board did so last July. Until then, writers had lifetime Hall of Fame voting privileges after serving 10 consecutive years in the BBWAA. Under the new rules, voters must have actively covered baseball within the past decade to retain their ballot. As a result, about 90 voters were removed from the rolls this year, when 475 ballots were distributed. (The New York Times does not allow its writers to vote.)

Jeff Idelson, the Hall of Fame’s president, said this past summer that the board of directors wanted “the most active electorate possible” to be considering the candidates. It also stands to reason that the board was somewhat embarrassed by the optics of writers no longer covering the game deciding the sport’s highest honor.
