Setting up the Finals nobody wants to see. Well I wouldn't mind seeing it, I have no beef with defense.
but this round...
im going with Pistons win at home in 6.
im going with Suns winning in 6, also.

1. Miami Heat fans
Lest Heat fans might think I'm giving them a shout-out, know that I'm not. I happened to catch a glimpse of Game 2 of the playoff series against the Wizards, and I swear 60 percent of the seats were empty. You people in Miami have better things to do, I suppose?
Here's a secret: Florida sucks. It's utterly beyond me why anyone would choose to live in such a festering hole, but, my, they do. Despite its reputation for having great weather, in point of fact, Florida weather sucks unmercifully. It's ridiculously hot, it rains all the time, and the whole state, which is shaped like a flaccid penis, is the punching bag for all manner of angry tropical weather. Oh, and the vaunted South Beach is full of giant idiots.
So, Miami-area sports fans

The game is a oxymoron; we sold free-base

Sorry guys, the Spurs got it this year. They have the 3 best players on a team together right now. It takes three stars to win a championship, the only team that could beat them is the Pistons but they have to play as a team all series and the Spurs still are much deeper.
Parker Ginobili and Ducan are better than:
Shaq, Dwayne, and Eddie
Chauncy Rip and Ben
Nash Stodamire and Marion
PEACE

As a basketball fan I would like to see the Heat vs. Suns.
I'm quite tired of seeing the Spurs and Lakers in championship games.
I hope it's the Heat and Suns.
And on top of it, I wouldn't mind seeing Miami win it all. Having Shaq win a championship WITHOUT Kobe would finally put all the hoopla to rest and it would really, really, really make Kobe feel like a poo poo face.
I <3 Shaq

You overrated Parker by a wide margin. The guy has an amazing capacity to vanish in a game the minute he gets hit.peanut butter wrote:Sorry guys, the Spurs got it this year. The whole premise of this post is dumb, as 5 players play on a team. The 4th and 5th guys on the Spurs don't bring a lot to the table (however, if Brent Barry decides to try for a whole series, things may change).
The problem with the Spurs is that their interior defense is good. Bruce Bowen is good, but Parker and Ginobli can't stop penetration and they don't defend the pick and roll that well. If they're facing a team that can hit a 15 foot jumper, they have some issues.
The problem with the Suns is that they don't play any defense and they don't have a good answer to Duncan.
I'm starting to think that whoever comes out of the East wins this.

Parker is pretty much the X-factor in every Spurs series. If he plays well, they'll win. He's not a great defender so if he's not hitting the mid-range jumper or penetrating, he's not worth much.Dids wrote:You overrated Parker by a wide margin. I think everyone's sleeping on Mohammed. The Suns can't handle both Duncan and Nazr with Stoudemire and Marion, they're too undersized. They're not guarding Nestrovic who's soft inside so they can't slack off and help. Mohammed can mix it up inside, rebound, block shots, and has decent post moves. With two powerful guys underneath, the Suns can't stop the Spurs half-court game. Combine that with the outside shooting and pentration of the Spurs swingmen and that makes for a tough series for the Suns.
