Hey Sebass, if you want to post a bunch of soca/calypso/caribbean music, keep it to one thread. It's cool that you want to share, but interest is limited and I want to keep other threads on topic. Thanks.

and if you think there is something wrong with this kind of music then you really are just closed minded. especially if you like hip hop, im sorry if i sound nerdy, but i know mad lib and lord finesse and hiero like afro jazz, afro cuban and merengue. and i have heard a soca song or two sampled for that matter.

listen to the fucking songs and quit going with what all the other idiots at PF do to be "hard black gangsrter music fans" or "fans of soulful music" get a fucking clue.

You know, at first, I thought it was cool how you tried to inspire everyone to check Soca. But I should've heeded everyone's advice. You're really an asshole about this shit.

People are mad because you have no sense of moderation and prefer to basically pull zeitgeist promotional techniques for music that people have already expressed their distaste about. Again, people didn't ask for dance music, they asked for shit that's gonna make them wanna destroy a speed bag. I think you and I can agree this is not that. So, again, show a little respect to people's interests since they've given the music you've provided plenty of fuckin' chances.

right, especially since the stuff i uploaded recently is like nothing else i have uploaded. merengue is not osca. 70s merengue is not 60s merengue is not 90s merengue, and non of that is dominican merengue, merengue is made in both dominica and the dominican republic and in differnt perdiods. just becuase you cant tell the difference does not mean that it is not different.

and he asked for something to pump him up. that could be taken many ways.

Moolah has this thread down pat. I would add (I don't think it was there):

Streets Disciple - Nas
Brooklyn's Finest - Jay-Z & Biggie

Can't really think of anything else at this point because my brain's not working, but stuff like that. Hell, throw in some Brooklyn Zoo, Scenario and some upbeat Blacksheep. That's what I'd do.

I just got an iPod shuffle for the gym too, so that's what I will be doing. Not exactly on topic, but if you have more than one iPod device, do you have any potential issues uploading music to them? Anything I should be aware of?

The point you always miss is that people dont give a fuck. One mans trash is another mans treasure. Just because this shit is the holy grail to you doesnt mean it cant be a used milk carton to others. Grow the fuck up and realize that not all people are gunna dig on the shit you like. Also no one is gunna be like "Oh word Heiro and Lord Finese listen to this, IM DOWN SOCA OR DIE!!!". You dont see the metal lovers on this board campaigning to get people all about metal or hardcore do you?

When I started working out at first, all I would do is play Goodie Mob's "Soul Food" from beginning to end. Perfect workout music.
