Rush of Blood to the head is definitely my favorite Coldplay album. I saw them on that tour and it was amazing. I was surprised to see that they tour with a upright wooden piano haha. But yeah, even though "Clocks" is a trendy song, seeing/hearing it live was totally mesmerizing.
Coldplay sucks.

I'll post my list when I get home from school.

Soul from which decade? There's a good reggae/soul/funk music blog with a lot of 70s jams, let me know what you think.

http://youandmeonajamboree.blogspot.com/
late 60's early 70's stuff mostly but I vary. Some of my favorite finds from the past few months have been albums by Marlena Shaw, Tom Brock, Ov Wright and Syl Johnson.

Thanks for the heads up on the blog, looks like good stuff!

yeah I love that album. I usually listen to whole albums, so I put the whole thing on my ipod. I very rarely listen to single songs at a time.

I'd take you up on the offer if I wasn't going to be on the road. As it is, I'm wondering how I'm gonna last a year with the same 30 gigs of music on me (yes, this is one of my primary concerns, fuck language barriers and loneliness, I need my rapidshare)

That's cool if you don't like them...I figure out of all the garbage that's out in mainstream, there is a lot worse than Coldplay (cough*Creed*cough). At least Coldplay has musical integrity.
Yes, Creed is worse but I don't know about this musical integrity you speak of.

Yeah a 60 gig changed my whole perspective on shit. No joke, it literally caused a shift in my thinking on the purpose and the idea of the portable mp3 player

 I can't afford shit now since my cash's all tied up in my current enterprise. On the other hand, since I'll need a new one when I get back, I'll be first up for whatever ridonculously large models they have in 2008-09.

i'd never owned an ipod and had thought the concept of mp3 players was stupid. i mean, i buy a lot of cds and wax. and even when i go to the gym, i use a walkman (yeah, tapes). i download shit, but why dump money into a mp3 when i can burn cds?

but friday was my birthday. and my girlfriend bought me an 80gb ipod (and a copy of the book check the technique, which is quite fucking banging). and honestly, this thing is pretty fucking awesome. plus, i had been debating breaking up with this girl, but she bought me this. so i think she bought herself some more time.

so i have nothing to contribute to this thread, except that i realized this weekend that ipods are awesome. and that they can give a girl a stay of execution.
