For an artists its just a dope way to interact with fans and gain new ones, that's what I've gotten from it. And I've learned about new bands that I dig now.

What's cool is when Lastfm will "put you on" something, either through a friend or by tracking your listening habits and making a suggestion. It's like Pandora.

There's also tons of free shit available to download, especially by indie artists.

the app is pretty useless I think, but, if you have last.fm on your computer, every time you plug the ipod into it, it should scrobble what you've listened to.

If it doesn't you do it manually.

open up the little last fm bubble thing that stands in the corner of the task bar, go to help>>>diagnostics>>>>ipod scrobbling>>>scrobble ipod

my old 80gb one would almost never do it, but it runs perfectly with the touch.
