The new album Shine is very good. Reggae-inspired but with a hiphop/r&b tone. She also seems like a very respectable woman with good personality.
American Boy is the best single this summer so far

Known about her for a few years now through another song she had called "1980". Estelle over a Kanye beat is refreshing. Glad she's been getting more shine! Wouldn't mind hearing her album.

I remember her back in the late 90's when she was a dope MC but I never checked for all that R&B singing she started doing later on.

yeah that was dope as fuck.But my favorite song from her is definitely "freedom" ft John Legend and Talib Kweli , the beat is soulful as shit.
