by the way, the new shackleton lp/ep/whatevs is fucking unbelievable. no link to hand, sorry, but it's sosososo good - and i've never even been that into his tracks before. fucking ridiculous stuff, minimal yet completely OTT at the same time.

Big ups and greetings , i'm a DJ producer from Australia , feeling some of the posts in here , been living in Melbourne which has a healthy scene in both DnB and dubstep , gotta rep the crew at brokenbeatassault.com for their parties , check the NYD party they've got coming up. Worth making the trip over for , and you know Australian women are the hottest. Anyway , will post some new shit up soon but for the moment heres a link for some of my old mixes , mostly dubstep but some classic 2-step on the end of one and a UKDUBS mix thats mainly dancehall / dub with some old Kode9 and Bug stuff , these go back from a couple years to January so check em if your inclined , i'll post track listings if anyones hyped. spaceape didn't show so it was a regular DJ set. still dope though. A lot more uptempo than I expected.

Wish he didn't start spinning at like 3am though, stupid promoters and local DJs.

It's been interesting to watch Kode9 develop over the years , I remember seeing him at the RBMA shows here in Melbourne when he was mainly playing grime and early dubstep , from all i've been hearing lately his sets have been a blend of the wonky / funky end of the spectrum. Always an innovator and a thoroughly intelligent chap , anyone know if his book on sonic warfare is out yet ?

So, I couldn't sleep last night and ended up reading this entire thread and checking out a gang of shit from it. The dubstep and wonky shit was kinda boring to me but I'm really digging what I've heard of the grime stuff. So far I've checked out some Crazy Titch, a little Durrty Goodz, some Wiley, that Newham Generals album, the Big H Street Crime UK tape and some Dizzee Rascal. Any more recommendations? Did Crazy Titch only have that Crazy Times tape before he got locked up? Does anybody have and mp3's of his that aren't on that tape? Specifically I Can C U and Sing Along? any uploads y'all can hook me up with would be great. thanks.

Yeah, the track that finally sold me on James Blake. That being said, the Pangaea remix is the first thing he's done I did not love instantly.

The original is fucking great as well but doesn't really belong here, so let's discuss the awesomeness of Joy Orbison's Love Cry remix instead:
