Daft Punk Rumored to be Playing Yankee Stadium in 2010

Post by House of Games »

http://www.prefixmag.com/news/daft-punk ... in-/34982/

This one should be taken with a gigantic pinch of salt until some official confirmation arrives, but a few rumored Daft Punk concert dates have been leaked online. The source for these shows is an Australian website named Undercover, which says: ג€œA source close to the band has leaked Daft Punkג€™s proposed tour dates for 2010, including dates in Melbourne and Sydney.ג€

Is Daft Punk really big enough to sell out Yankee Stadium? They did play at Keyspan Park in Coney Island on their last visit to the city in 2007ג€”a show they comfortably sold out. But playing Yankee Stadium is a far larger proposition. The other shows are all is arena-sized venues, including a date in Daft Punkג€™s native Paris. Currently, they are thought to be working on the soundtrack to Tron Legacy.

Rumored Daft Punk 2010 shows:

07.30 Paris: Le Z

im just saying thats what it took for me to understand why people would want to go to a giant show where electronic music is being played.

tiesto is trash
larger than life rock shows are about all that are suited for stadium shows imo. playing house/techno/disco in a baseball stadium is about as retarded as performing standup comedy in one

rock = stadium
electronic = underground/warehouse venues
rap = club
indie/pop = theatre

obviously i break that mold because sometimes you have no choice.. but those are pretty much ideal situations. i am a fan of summer outdoor festivals for all genres too

glad you're a fan of outdoor venues. I'd have no interest in seeing daft punk in a warehouse though. Small stadium was perfect.

if you went to see tiesto live, you probably caught aids

C'mon....I'd imagine Tiesto would rock the shit out of a club. A night of Dance music and rollin with chicks >>>>drinkin/smoking at a hip hop show.

it must be a continent thing, because in Europe Tiesto is a prime example of douchebag/guido music and a person with any taste in anything would never admit enjoying him.

All the recent awful eurodance samples in hiphop just convince me more about this gap.
