I haven't thought of this guys work for a while but for any one unaware Hes a pioneer of psychedelic rock who went insane and continued to make great music his themes are inspired by 50s horror films and paranoia,enjoy .

i'm kinda cautious because as far as i know that band is on some indie folk shit. i think i'd rather hear him with a somebody heavier. but i'll give it a shot eventually

anywho, roky/the elevators are great and people should def check that stuff out. Psychadelic Sounds... and Easter Everywhere are essential psych records

I worked on that flick. It's on netflix, and definitely worth checking out.

He gave me an autographed signed/numbered screen printed poster during sxsw and I gave it to Catfish Hunter for a souvenir to take home. He said it is hanging in his office now. maybe he can upload a picture of the poster. Roky is the man.

in the similar vein, I have a blues album Lightning Hopkins recorded with members of the Elevators after they broke up (rhythm section, no Roky though). that one is actually pretty damn good

As far as the new album goes, I dl'ed it last night and was pretty disappointed. I'm glad dude is functioning again, but his music doesn't seem to have improved with his mindset.
