D was my favorite.

D'Angelo drew on the work of a lot of other artists as any good artist does.

Prince and Curtis Mayfield have been mentioned, but I'd also add Sly Stone and Smokey Robinson to the list.

Im sure there are others as well.

thanks guys. according to wikipedia he has another album coming out this year or next year.

ill try some of these ideas out, though. the problem, though, is that getting another guy who is mellow and sensual from front to back, you know what i mean?

Sadly, I think that this has been the case for a couple years.

Its like the way less talked about r&b version of detox... problem is... he just doesn't seem to be able to... detox.
