This is pretty dope. I'm not feeling that new Joker remix, but that joint he dropped at Sonaar, Tron is nuts:

The Streets - Blinded By The Lights (Nero Remix)
http://www13.zippyshare.com/v/44375141/file.html
I guess Nero is doing dubstep now...makes sense...was wondering when high contrast/logistics etc would jump on the bandwagon...

that streets remix is a little bit of a guilty pleasure for me

i love the original.. and the remix is kind of cheap. but it works

yeah, my thoughts exactly. The video is what sold me on the original...

Have you listened to High contrast at all? Their fabric mix was pretty crazy...

Yeah, that Joy Orbison mix is cool. Being a huge fan of slow disco-house, I thin I prefer this one though:

Joy Orbison: BSRkR01 Downtempo Mix

http://www.zshare.net/audio/61985710c7e771fe/

Thriller - Genie
Floating Points - Love Me Like This
C.O.M.B.I. - It A Late
Eddie C - Make It Better
The Revenge - Night Flight
B.W.H. - Stop
James Pants - Weג€™re Through
Alicia Meyers - I Want To Thank You
Fudge Fingas - DinsDins4Dada
Bumblebee Unlimited - Lovebug (DK Edit)
Arthur Russell - Hop On Down
Nite Jewel - Weak For Me
The Samps - Traincummingsג€¦..
C.B. Funk - Subway To Cologne
Kate Bush - Cloudbusting

I think we've had this discussion before but I'm still  -ing at the fact that some of the most exciting leftfield stuff like "Love me like this" is obviously House music, yet everybody still labels it 'Dubstep' because it sounds cooler than 'Deep-/Disco-House'. The same goes for Techno or Hip Hop. "Narc" clearly is a damn Techno record and Dorian Concept is a Hip Hop producer. I got a few friends and colleagues that don't give a shit about either House or Hip Hop but they are big on Dubstep and it's just :fail: to hear them raving about Flying Lotus or Joy Orbison, when they wouldn't give two shits about the latest Madlib beattape or Pepe Bradock. They'd probably call that C.B. Funk track 'wonky'...

That "downtempo" mix is great.

Can't wait for Hyph Mngo and Joker's Tron to drop.

Emalkay's new song "When I Look At You" is kinda crazy:

personally.. i love it. i don't care what people call it, there's so much amazing music coming out right now that is getting referred to as dubstep, artists that are so far from each other stylistically, that the potential for creativity... imagination, exploration blah etc. is off the chart. i love dubstep cos it's just a great big umbrella that allows a dj to play... almost anything at the right tempo with enough sub bass.

No, don't get me wrong I love it too, I just find it retarded that a lot of things are united under the 'Dubstep' umbrella to make them seem more innovative and hip than they actually are.
