CURTIS PLUM anyone? (Fans of Wesley Willis,Captain Beefhear)

You know how once a decade a genuine weirdo comes out of the woodwork, releases one brilliantly absurd album and then disappears? I think we've got another one.

This guy Curtis Plum is a genuine eccentric that Sage Francis discovered through MySpace and coerced into putting an album out. It's like listening to the second coming of Daniel Johnston. Behold:

That song was pretty funny.

every time captain beefheart is brought up, which is almost never, this song gets stuck in my head. Ever wanted to where ODB got his crackhead vibrato from? "Gon' Stay Arouuuuunnnnnddd, Gon' Stay ArOooOooOooOoOOuUUnNNnnNDdDDdddD"

Curtis Plumm is great, but I don't get the Beefheart comparison.
