Whut Thee Album vs Dead Serious

Post by Jaz »

Two of my favourite albums from 1992 and the debut albums of Red and Das, but which one was better?

"Whut? Thee Album." Absolutely no contest.

I really like both but I feel that "Whut" has held up better than "Dead Serious" over time, is better produced, and simply more enjoyable.

Redman easily. The Das album was good but gimmicky. Whut was the most anticipated album of '92 for me and my friends.

And check out this '92 pic of Redman at the homecoming concert:

The Das Efx album has aged much better. Gotta go against the grain on this one.

Redman is music for aging kike whiggers still mad that skully hats got appropriated by alterna-rock fags.

Yep. For me Redman's music has aged terribly and has all meshed into itself, leaving the albums pretty much pointless, just give me one '90s Redman song and I'll be set for the next few weeks.

Quit playing. You know what you do every time you hear "Nuff Respect Due" or "Rise N Shine"

whut has the best songs but i totally agree with oracle in that redman gets old pretty fast making the album interminable...greatest hits albums were invented because of redman

Yes.

I love both albums, but I go with Redman here because I probably bought
that tape at least 5 or 6 times. And out of all his albums, I think this is the
only one where every song doesn't sound exactly the same. Some sound
similar, but nowhere nearly as monotonous as Dare Iz...

This shit put Jersey back on the map.
