N.Y. Confidential - N.Y. Confidential

Post by Philaflava »

Explain to me why this goes for $300 on Discog? I own a copy and I have never played it, but I plan on selling it so daddy can cop a pair of the Air Jordan Space Jams that come out Wednesday.

Can somebody :upload: the mp3 but more importantly tell me what is so great that this goes for 3 bills?

$300 in Mint.
$215 in VG.
The right (at least for me) price for this is $ 200 even SLD, discogs has overprice. In eBay approximately 180-240 bucks.
MARKETING TRICKS man.Everyone tries to make money. I also don`t understand why this record is that high.
Even is not rare anymore, you can see copy of it every month in Ebay.
I paid $ 70 for SLD copy (private sale) and sold for $ 200, so it was nice for me.
Ive never liked this record though.

It IS a dope record, IMO.
But, yeah, nah. Not for that much.
Hopefully I'll catch that one day for a reasonable price, like $30 tops.
I'm pretty sure I had it at one time and kinda overlooked it.
Not positive, though.

But, yeah, we could go on and on about the crazy prices nowadays.
It's a buyer's market for everything except vinyl, because of the
international demand, is my best guess.

With this record, at least I can say that, imo, there's a few dope joints.
Other cases, you don't even get that. Like the Camouflage Large EP.
3 songs and only one is good, imo. The other two are pretty trash.
And that shit goes for around $200.
Their other record is much doper and goes for much less, I believe.
But still over priced.

Lolz...

These cats are as close to Mobb Deep clones as there is.
I still like the EP, though.
Verge wrote: Here's another dope EP, this one from 1998.
I always thought these cats sounded a helluva lot like Mobb Deep,
but they still got some real bangers.
Check "Backstabbed" for the basically identical likeness to the Mobb,
including the beat.
Anyhow, to me, "Why" contains a couple of hilarious lines. Maybe it's
how he says it, I dunno.

"Why ya face got slit when you was in C-74?
Why ya girl got hit, looking through the peephole of the door?
Why ya kid got bust, playing in the park on his bike?
Why ya chain got snatched? Why ya coat got bagged?
Why ya man got stabbed?
"

Peep before downloading here-
<object width="320" height="265"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/zQqIlZ3rVSw&hl ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/zQqIlZ3rVSw&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="320" height="265"></embed></object>

I had this vinyl and kinda slept on it when I did. smh
I have two rips of this. I don't know where one came from, but one is from here-

I bought this for $5 from Beat Street. I bought it off the name alone and to date I never even listened to it.

No prob. The second song you can really hear the Mobb comparison.
Especially the hook.

Just sold mine for $200. Originally I was going to sell it for more since it said it went for $300 but this record means nothing to me and I'd rather have the $. So FYI the market price is still around $200 and this wasn't SLD either.
