are any of El-P's solo albums worth checking or in anyway similar to the cold vein?
one of my favorite hip hop albums EVER... any notable releases that are similar beat wise and rap wise?
any of El's solo albums feature similar production? (i guess i can deal with his wack ass rapping)...
i like vordul's newest solo... but im really looking for the same sonic backdrop to go along with it...
interested to see responses...
trying to find an album comparable to the cold vein...

I've heard from reliable sources that some of his newer stuff is actually
pretty dope.
But he pretty much lost me after "Cold Vein".
So, as far as I've heard, you're really not gonna find anything else
like the Can Ox album.
That shit was a classic.
I may be wrong, though. We all got different tastes.

Production wise his first solo, Fantastic Damage is closest to Cold Vein although Funcrusher + is pretty close too and both are very dope indeed. I'll sleep when your dead is dope to but a little more evolved than the production on Cold Vein. His instrumental albums are not to be over looked; Little Johnny from the hospital and Collecting the kid.
