Yeah, if it's from the movie soundtrack, it's Michel Legrand. Claude Bolling or
something like that, was another cat he worked with.

Nice to know the name of the track. Where'd you find this Roy? And do you have a good quality rip of the other Kweli demo, the track before this one on the Mood demo? On the version I have the sound cuts out for a few seconds...

I think I got it here:

But someone might have posted it on this forum. I can't remember.

All tracks are untitled. I named the Kweli track "Thin Line".

OK, that blog is the same one I linked to in my Mood thread. I didn't actually download mine from there though, I got it somewhere else... Maybe they have a better quality rip. I'll download it now and check it out.

Nah, I was just trippin. It's the same rip, sound quality is the same. Damn... I really just want a rip of the other Talib Kweli demo without the :pause: a minute in.

"Thin Line" was on the recent mixtape "A Tree Grows In Brooklyn" which I found here:
http://kevinnottingham.com/2010/03/11/t ... nexpected/
I downloaded this just to see if it was the same rip, it definitely sounds the same quality and is 192 kbps so I'm guessing they got it from the same rip of the Mood tape. If they had a version of the other demo without the pause I'm sure it would be on there...

I have to revisit that tape. I only listened to it once, but that Thin Line track really caught my ear because of the Crusaders sample.

superulrtadope thread!!!!!

I've been looking for the original track sampled on psycho realm's "psycho city blocks"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEqj1XqHn9k

it's called "una carta para mi madre" or "carta para mama" or something like this and it's performed by King Clave. I've been looking for this for a few years now, can;t find it anywhere, I'd be really grateful if someone could post it.

thanks in advance

I asked this in the Beatles sample thread. Does anybody know of another artist besides Naughty By Nature and Tom Caruana/WuTang who sampled the intro to this?

Nice catch on that Adagio one, LG, I found that years ago and could never
remember where I heard it, though, thanks.
Adagio samples aren't too easy to track down. I think some of them they
slow down a lot or something. I know Boy And Girl Tale is off of Les
McCann's Layers album.

Beatle's sample, I don't know, sorry.
Miami Life sample, I have no idea, sorry.

That Psycho Realm joint, King Clave, I don't see that title on any of his
albums. Maybe he wrote the song, but it was performed by someone else?

Here's a Yah Supreme Winter In Brooklyn sample:

Dunno, I saw it on the psycho realm forum about a year or more ago. The title was one of those two I posted, I'm pretty sure abut that. Plus, long time ago I saw a video of DJ Rybe mixing the King Clave song with the psycho city blocks joint. In case I'm wrong about the title of the original song, if anyone has info about that please tell me, I've been looking for this for quite a long time
