Sorry for the lateness, I meant to comment here a month ago. This was a very dope edition here. The beat on that Scottie Pippens shit was incredible.
I had downloaded that mixtape/EP a while ago and skimmed through it and trashed it cause I wasn't feeling dude's voice even the beats were on point. Aside from certain artists here and there, I usually won't fuck with stuff where the emcee has a prominent non-NY accent. Sorry people, can't help it.

On first listen, I thought Curren$y sounded like a southern(or midwestern) Jadakiss. And Gibbs kinda killed him on his own shit, as was mentioned in another thread. But hearing that joint again, I had to go back to that EP/mixtape. The beats are really great, listening again now. I'm still in the air about this Curren$y dude though.
Thanks.

Anyways, long story short, great volume. Props.

Pretty much everything is dope on this, but honestly I can't stand Curren$y and think Freddie Gibbs is mad average, the beat is really dope, just wasted on them, props on a dope comp never the less...ill cover too.

Nah Big Man, gotta recognize Freddie Gibbs gots flow, not an original one, but hes in the same kind of vibe and spirit than Meyhem Lauren, which you support...

Come on Jaz !

Gibbs isn't original, but he is really dope. You should listen to the stuff he's done over 90s beats and I'm not talking about Miilkbone's Keep It Real.

Mey L and Action B > Curren$y and Freddie Gibbs 100x...I don't think Gibbs is all that special and I don't see what the hype is about Curren$y he sounds like a thousand other lame rappers.

DivShare File - 08 Back In The Dayz.mp3

Sure, the concept's played out but when done correctly like so here, shit wins every time. If you don't like this then there's probably a couple of other things you may like off the tape. Check the mp3X.

I'd probably go with a cut off that Greneberg shit but that goes without saying.

Nothing else in particular from me.

I think the name was "Samhill" that Thun played some joints I really dug on turntable.com.

Also, if you wanna include an instrumental this time around, I got that new K Def 45 but I can't rip it, no needle. :owens:

Meyhem Lauren-"Steak With A Glass Of Red"

It's like being in 1992-1995 again.

we got something really good coming down the pipeline for Samhill on steadyb, just waiting on a guest (in-house guest) writeup. just a hint, it starts with 'comp' and ends with 'ilation'.

troy pplz will surely be pleased with it

but in the mean time, he would def be a good candidate for this series

YES! I was hoping this didn't fall by the wayside.

Also any new Tone Liv is always dope. I think it was drizzle who recently posted a couple of his newer vids at sb. I don't have mp3s though, sorry.

Not sure if anyone has heard of or digs these kids music but I think they dope.

That beat reminds of some old classic Beatnuts shit or Diamond D, but more on the mellow. And I kinda like their gimmick they got going too.

Always down for some suggestions. Thanks guys.

The best thing you can do is up the mp3 though. Some great stuff recommended so far. Hopefully you'll enjoy V. 20.

The new joint from Large Pro - Key to the City is a good suggestion to the next comp. Bringing the fast rap back.
Fuck that Serato MP3 shit! Keep it dusty!!!

You got a mp3? I already Large Pro on this one but if this is really dope I'd consider adding it if not for the next series.

Not feeling that one, or that album to be honest. It's contrived as hell.
