YO DEB that Hen + 76th is kinda classic...GOOD WORK...I mean dude is not the best emcee flowwise, but his raps are a good symbiosis with the beats...still 100 levels above M80 lol that dude is a clown...also not Gensu Dean intolerable...like him and J-Love have the fucking worst deliveries ever...

Also crazy how you utilize parts / elements of classic songs we know.

Thanks for the good words! That record was recorded mainly in 2005 - 2007, some of the beats I did as far back as 2003. I don't think I ever spent more time on a single project because I was still figuring out how to do a lot of things technically. I wasn't expecting people would be overly interested in it in 2013, I only really pressed it up to have it on wax for myself (hence the low run) - that people have listened to it, let alone enjoy it, means a lot. Actually, Lex just put out CD version with a couple extra songs we did back then - that's available here: http://kunaki.com/sales.asp?PID=PX00Z7CL8O&pp=1

^yessur, Cellar Selections always a no brainer, much BANG for the BUCK son! US heads, this is shipping from Jersey. Everyone combine shipping with the debut Heavy Jewelz joint:

http://heavyjewelz.bigcartel.com/
Image
only 10 Test Press sets, 9 left:
Image

$25 a record, $45 a double pack of one black and one caramel, $70 test press bundle. 200 black copies, 100 caramel copies, and 10 tp's total
Originally released on a crazy limited amount of cassettes in the Newark, New Jersey area and thats about it. Gee rock was familiar to me from hearing some of his promos and demos on WNWK, formerly WBAU, in Jersey in the early and mid 90s and he was notorious for killing it on the freestyle tip. To me, Gee Rocks flow was so funky eyt original, simple yet complex, he was quite an addictive emcee to follow. Then it seemed he just dropped of the scene for a bunch of years. So finally having the chance to work with him on getting his discography out has been pretty exciting!

The sound on this most would say is more fast paced funky type of rap music, a lot of the late 80s/early 90s heads will appreciate this stuff here. But there's also a couple of joints for them mid 90s heads too so, for me, it's worth copping. You can find a whole bunch of Gee Rock history at Patrock's blog here:
http://boombapboombox.blogspot.com/2.../gee-rock.html
We will be having more of Gee Rock's mid to late 90s material pressed up in the near future but the man himself wanted to first get his debut LP out there. There's 12 tracks, this is NO EP, you will get BANG for your BUCK here!

One issue that I found disappointing though was that we could only source from cassette because the masters have long ago met their untimely demise. So the sound quality is not exactly something i'm ecstatic about for our first release.
But we wanted to be transparent with yall about it and we did drop the price way down to $25 a piece to make up for it.
Peep the snippets for yourself:
COMBINE SHIPPING WITH THE NICK WIZ RECORDS!!

Thanks Freezy! we've been definitely considering doing a CD and maybe a cassette version, we just have to continue to gauge the demand while moving on to our second drop. If i had the bankroll to put up front, believe me, this would have gotten the all format treatment right off the bat. We have more Gee Rock material to delve into and we're in constant contact, so no worries about us forgetting about it or anything, heh.

The single caramel colored copies sold out quick but there's still a few left in the $45 double packs and there's still some 150 Gram black copies. Also 2 test press bundles left, get on it!

I'll keep it in mind, no doubt. Thanks for the support!

Still got one TP bundle left, about 20 double packs, and a bunch of 150 Gram black copies left. And there's only about 12 hours left for the combined shipping offer with the Nick Wiz Volume 3 joints.

I hope so! I believe they've done so for past releases but you can never tell with this release because the label has been more or less just been acting as a distributor promoter for this group because, well, i guess the group wants it like that. So, hopefully. Will certainly post about it if it does happen.

The digital download that comes with the pre-order is only the even tracks (2,4,6,8,10) but I bet the rest will be available once it ships.

I sent a message to the band last week asking them about the digital version, still no answer.
