DJCommunist: HUGE, HUGE thanks for hooking that up, you are the fucking man!! no question about it...
just ignore this comment, bc i feel stupid asking for something more after all your hard work but would it be possiblr to separate and post the alternative mix of Mic Geronimo's "For The Family" which is close to the end on the 1998 mix and in very good sound quality. if you do it then that would be super appreciated but if you don't you're the king either way haha! again many thanks...

Still waiting on a copy of Pete's remix of "Live To Regret" which was one of the remixes exclusive to the show.

Re: PETE ROCK AND MARLEY MARL FUTURE FLAVAS
Brandon: interesting, that's one that i haven't even heard about... btw, the Monia joint you have on your Soundcloud (the PR remix) - where is it from, bc it's full and great quality so i assume it is not Future Flavaz. very nice laid-back cut, would love to be able to make a 16 track or so compilation of Pete Rock's soul remixes and productions but i'm not sure if there are enough to do so (did a great two volume one with Dilla and one with Preemo).
by the way anyone know if this is an official remix? it uses almost the same beat as the Lords of the Underground joint on "NY's Finest" with this soul singer Darrien Brockington singing over it - in fact it might be the exact same beat. now i would believe this to be a blend, but i really liked Darrien's voice and doing a google search for him several sources states he has worked with 9th Wonder, Pete Rock and someone else i can't remember right now. then i found an interview where he was asked how it was working with Pete Rock and if they did their work in the studio... he said that tbh the only of those producers that i really was in the studio with was 9th, the pete tracks (he actually said tracks) were sent back and forth between us or something to that extent. i've tryed searching a lot and it seems that this is the only thing they have ever done together that has been officially released... the original version of "Think It Over" was released in 2006 on the album "Somebody to Love" (which looks dope with the production, check it - http://www.discogs.com/Darien-Brockingt ... ase/815625) ..... sorry fo hijacking the thread but just been real curious.
you can listen to the Pete Rock remix of "Think It Over" here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MXsdwdImQZQ
(also remember that Rae officially re-used a beat from "NY's Finest")

Re: PETE ROCK AND MARLEY MARL FUTURE FLAVAS
Does anyone have the night when Cormega and Common were up there? I am looking for the freestyle specifically. Not the one that is readily available on youtube or whatever. There was another session that night where Mega kicks verses that eventually became Raps a Hustle and Make it Clear. I had it on tape back in like 2000 and have never heard it anywhere else.
